Another hall of famer checked off the list - always a fan of catcher's gear vintage cards!

68 year old survivors from the 1956 Topps Football set.

After all these years they still have a place.

The last Hall of Famer that I needed for the t206 HOF subset, now have at least 1 card of the 36 Hall of Famers in t206 (excluding Wagner and Plank).

Lots of good stuff, this is my favorite thread on BO. I really like the Nagurski/Grange dual signed index card from page 1, pretty great to have both on one item. Here are some things I’ve picked up so far.

Picked up a few cards with character recently

I never knew Sandy Koufax was an outfielder.

Not one you see everyday.

I love the face he makes in this photo as if he just whiffed a very bad smell.

Was able to pick up these two 1965 Topps of a couple of my Red Sox favorites.

While I don't have an outside photo service to upload photos(please make it where I can just upload from my PC, Blowout!), picked up a complete 1956 Topps baseball set with the 2 checklists. Over all probably VG- VG-EX. Some nice cards and some beaters. Several 1st series gray backs and a handful of 100-180 white backs including Frank Thomas and Gil Hodges.

Awesome card in my personal favorite PSA grade.

I really like the 1.5 grade with well worn corners like that. But it typically doesn't have the heavy creasing or major surface issues of some low-end PSA-1s.

Thanks!

Yeah at that low of a grade I just look for good color and registration. This one is easy on the eyes.

Weird handcut issue. I love this card because it looks like Babe Ruth playing pool -- then the back.

Set I'm working on. Only two higher than this grade for this card. (Both 4's)
