Denver just cancelled Eliza Dushku, she has been replaced with Mercedes McNab

They claim to still have some big announcements coming but my list has gone from 11 people to meet to 5. Honestly if I didn't still need Robin Lord Taylor's signature for my Gotham poster I'd likely skip the con.

Famke Janssen (announced today) goes a long way for me. I still hope they have a couple more biggies to make the guest list better, but she is a great start.

^ I know just when I thought DCC was gonna let me down they brought us Jean Grey outta nowhere. Huge step in right direction. Now to wait and see what other surprises they got in store.

Btw did you see what they were saying about the opening ceremonies? That there is a special celebrity guest...

Be careful with the Springs con, I live in the area and did not hear positive things about the show in general from several people. DCC is usually pretty solid but i go for toys and collectibles not to meet celebs.

I did see that, Ace. Don't know what that could even mean though.

As for the Springs, I didn't have many issues with it last year because I like to meet the celebs. The stuff for sale wasn't anywhere close to what Denver offers. But it was easy to get most everyone (getting Cudlitz was a 100x easier in the Springs compared to his Walker Stalker Con lines).

Yeah if you were going for toys, artists, and collectibles it blew compared to DCC but as Ive said on the Facebook pages I have enough outlets to get those things outside of conventions so the celebrities are my main focus. Last year meeting everyone was super easy and it was relaxing. The panels were poorly executed but the celeb guests made up for those shortcomings during the panels.

Btw- DCC, Stanley Tucci cancelled now.
This is I think the most cancellations ever for DCC

Michael Chiklis is making his Con debut at Denver Comic Con.
Looks like I'll be getting him for my Gotham poster and I think I still have a Rise of the Silver Surfer poster.

Robin Lord Taylor cancelled again as did Billie Piper.

Final guest announcement though is John Cusack.
