Been happening for decades. Kids learn there are scumbags and don't buy retail is all

I had to visit Target last night to pick some stuff up and checked the card aisle and my god. It looks bad. No area for Bowman. No 2018 baseball left besides series 1 racks. Complete garbage.

Update: went to Walmart today and they had some gypsy queen. Opened up the first box and it was all good. The second one, all packs were cut open and a 2018 Topps sealed pack was in it.
I hate people

There is someone around hear that likes to open the Prizm Packs of football too. Looks like he cuts the packs with a razor blade...... Shameless. It get even worse if you ever make it down south towards Elk Grove. I avoid the south side of town like the plague too.

I know the feeling. When I returned mine to Walmart, woman looked at me like I was pulling a fast one. Told her look at the time stamp of purchase and when I am returning the pack. It had been 4 minutes. three of which I was waiting in line. SMH. Asked her if it was possible for me to really, walk to my car, open 4 packs, take the cards out I wanted, reseal each pack with glue and get in line in less than one minute? SMH. (I only opened one pack and returned the remaining three still 'sealed to show her what had been done)

We have someone around here that goes around and barely opens the bottom of the packs, enough to see the width of the cards inside but not enough to where its obvious its been opened. It's really easy to miss if you aren't paying attention and just pick up a few packs before you walk out the door. Really drives me away from retail unless I'm able to find a decent blaster box I know hasn't been touched. I'd be interested to find out an estimate of how much WalMart, Target and Toys'R'Us lose per year on this kind of stuff. Probably a fraction of a penny to them, but it's got to be a few thousand at least.

I think, I could be wrong, but the money goes to the Vendors who pay for the space. I do not think it affects Wal-Mart or Target one way or the other monetarily. But I do not know for sure.

Both my local targets.

Buyers have friends that work there

They let them know right when boxes are being put out

Sometimes they even go in back and get boxes before they are put out

I have been seeing this for 2 years

Boxes come in ups and sit in back for days till excel lady comes

Those boxes have been gone through before she comes

Saw it happen with heritage bowman and I’m sure mega

That Sucks.

At one of the local targets, girl that worked there asked me what I was looking for. I said Bowman and she said so is my boyfriend and kind of smiled at me. Should have known. No Bowman hit the shelves for three weeks. When it did, THREE, not one but THREE gravity feeds all put out on the same day, all sifted through. Sigh.

You're correct. Cards are all Pay on scan. So the store doesn't take any hit on shrink.
