I haven't seen them all, but I don't remember a Farley from the earlier series. The artist also uses TV shows as inspiration for the paintings, so anything sports related Chris did on SNL would work. Surely, something fits the bill. How about "Matt Foley: All-Star Motivational Speaker"? It would be a popular card, for sure, with Chris remaining a fan favorite after all these years. He's probably good for a couple of cards. Bill Murray and Adam Sandler have been on at least 3 cards each, and Rodney Dangerfield on at least two.

...and immediately sold out.
![]() Inspired by the Lonely Island "visual poem" now available on Netflix. I'm very bummed to have missed this one. I got my selection of cards and sealed pack but need to hook my scanner up to my new computer before I can show them off. No "Prince" in my pack, but a pretty nice selection of mostly sold out cards plus the exclusive Larry David, so not too shabby.

Here's the 4 singles I bought:
![]() Considering the Billy Madison is still available, I probably should've got the "Wayne's World" that did sell out and picked up the Madison in my next order. Then again, when I ordered, only the Prince was sold out, so these were the four I wanted the most and I'm happy with them. And the contents of my sealed pack. Front and back shown so you can see the autograph on the wrapper. ![]() ![]() Not too shabby on the pack. No "Game Blouse Prince", but the Larry David exclusive is nice and 3 out of the random 4 were quickly sold out as singles. A bit of bad luck getting a second Rodney from "Caddyshack", but I can flip or trade that one. I don't mind having the Johnny from "Cobra Kai" as that show is hilarious. Frank Dux (Bloodsport) is gone, but I still have all of the others, and would be interested in a trade. From earlier series, I'm interested in Bill Murray as Big Ern McCracken in "Kingpin" and Wiley Wiggins as Mitch Kramer in "Dazed and Confused". Here's my PC cards from the previous series, by the way: ![]() ![]()

Would any of you happen to be interested in selling or trading? I know I’m new so you’re probably not too interested in trading with me, but I’ve got a bunch of doubles (Frank Dux, George Costanza, Prince, Wayne’s world, Ham from Sandlot, Dean Youngblood, Ron Swanson and a sealed series 4 pack) I’m searching for Walter Sobchak , Cru Jones, Bill Murray (spacejam), Henry Rowengartner. I’m also in the market for other series 1 & 2 if you’re interested in selling.
I am new to these boards but if you wanted to see evidence I’m a real human I have an eBay account with over 1,000 transactions and 100% feedback. Thanks, |

Series 5 was issued 6-12, the Friday before last.
I'd fallen behind on my email, so I missed the message from the gallery, plus no Blowout Buzz, so I only stumbled across this a full week later, on 6-19. By then, and I suspect much earlier for many, 13 of the 40 cards had sold out over that first week, including the three cards based on "Back To The Future", the "Tron" lenticular card, and the sealed Wax Pack (which included 4 random cards and an exclusive Pee Wee Herman). ![]() Not sure how many people attended the actual art exhibit (which goes on for another week), but the cards the attendees don't buy are put online the following day. I got my order in for the few left I really wanted, but I definitely missed out this year. The brick and mortar Gallery was obviously shut down during the pandemic and once partially opened, the social unrest in Los Angeles made them temporarily shut again. All that to say these brisk sales must be a real shot in the arm for the 1988 Gallery, which is amazing. To that end, they were offering 20% off of everything on their site except for the current exhibits with the promo code COMFORT. You can't get these new Series 5 Trading Cards with it, but there are cards from the first 4 series still available, and it's good on those, as of 48 hours ago. I'll show my (small) haul from this year's crop once I have them. If anyone gets any, please comment on your choices and show them off.

Smith has continued "mini" drops in between his big annual shows (usually held in June, when a full set is released). Hopefully, the 6th edition will be announced shortly. It should include plenty of baseball subjects as all earlier releases have.
In addition to a striking (no pun intended) "Fight Club" Pitt/Norton as Tyler Durden numbered limited edition lenticular (like the "Tron Generations" flicker card shown above) and a pair of print-to-order (like ToppsNow) cards based on "Schitt$ Creek" TV show characters playing baseball, Smith most recently released this quartet based on the Eagles football tryouts episode of "Always Sunny in Philadelphia". ![]() ![]() A la carte releases, the "Fight Club" and "Always Sunny" cards were instant sellouts in their numbered editions. ![]() Once sold out from the Gallery1988, Smith lists a very limited number of Artist's Proofs at his own online store, which is how I was able to at least get the ASIP set. Good luck ever finding that Fight Club wiggle card... As you can see, the overall set numbering is now at 218, and is continued from year to year and even on these in-betweeners. This would be an exceedingly difficult set complete, were one to try at this late hour. I don't have a full count, but I'd estimate a full quarter of the collection to date is baseball related.
