I have a great LCS. He's got a half-dozen monster boxes of basketball. He's also very smart and has pulled out most of the good stuff.

I'm probably going to slide by there today and see what he's got before Chronicles comes out. And then of course I'll try to buy as many Chronicles RCs as he'll sell me

I've got one 3 minutes from my house. Its great for running out to get more supplies, but the basketball is overpriced like crazy. Singles prices as well. Although they had a Topps Lebron rookie in a glass case underpriced before Covid, went to buy after the shop reopened and it was gone so I missed out on that opportunity. They have Optic Blasters for 120, Prizm retail packs for like 38, and the boxes are typically 10-20% overpriced.

I still have a store, but they've gone off the deep end since Zion mania. Buying out retail stores and reselling it for crackhead prices lmao

Sounds exactly like the one near me except prices can be over 20% more than online. Their shelves are overflowing with boxes and cases meant to supply their breaks customers not walk-ins except for a baseball box here or there that may be a few bucks less (10.25% tax so no real difference in the end).

I go to one in Austin and one in San Antonio. Both are great. I havent gone since the pandemic started so I dont know how they are handling the surge in popularity in the hobby right now.

Always got good deals with them online buying basketball packs 8-10 years ago. Whenever I’d buy up bulk amounts like all the 1997 spx packs they had they’d give a discount.

Sadly don’t have an lcs where I live. I think they’d do alright, we have a decent sized city if they brought one back. Supposedly there used to be one here a decade ago when I first moved here.

Burbank Sportscards is near me. They have .25 boxes and recently added $1-10 boxes. .25 Boxes are organized by sport & year and some local teams. Other boxes are by attribute.

I snagged a handful of 2012-13 Prizm when they reopened for .25.

x5 Paul George
x5 Melo
x4 Vince Carter
x4 Paul Pierce
x2 Shaq
x1 Russ, Blake, CP3

Not pictured from the .25 boxes are Prizm RCs of Chuma, Bol Bol, KPJ.

From the $1-10 boxes...

Cal Ripken Jr 1982 Donruss RC $25 (clean, sending to PSA)
Tom Brady 2007 Topps Chrome Refractor $8 (sells for $40-60)
Kobe 2004-05 Topps Chrome $4
a handful of Topps/Topps Update Photo Variation RCs for $1 each (sells for around $10-50)

Some of them were put as “Easter Eggs”.

Check their IG feed. The store has been crazy busy for the past few weeks.

I'm in Atlanta, we have #@#@#@#@ for LCS's unfortunately - both have terrible prices and are unfortunately only curbside pickup right now. Atlanta is a hobby wasteland anyways though.

There used to be 5 or 6 in Green Bay in the 90s. All died off except Card and Coin but they deal mostly in Packer antiques, memorabilia, and precious metals. Not much of a selection most of the time for wax or singles.

Recently a new place opened in an obscure location in a farming community about 15 minutes out of town though. The guy has an absolutely UNREAL selection of basketball wax at good prices. I would recommend checking him out on Facebook. “Tim’s Sports Cards and NASCAR Die Cast” in New Franken, WI

Do any of yall have any weird card shops where you can tell the guy just bought a store front so he can get a dealer account and order hobby cases to break? When I first got back into the hobby about 2 years ago I went to a place I found on a google search and all the guy had was supplies like binder pages, top loaders, etc. No boxes, no packs, no singles, just supplies. And he's only open a couple hours a week. The guys that were in there all looked at me like I just walked in on them setting up bank robbery or something too, like they stopped talking and waited for me to look around for 30 seconds and leave.

My LCS has no basketball packs/boxes but does have some Football and baseball.

Lots of singles and grab bags. I mentioned before that I pulled some Kawhi and AD rookies from the grabs bags.
