It would be like pouring money into Aaron McKie or Larry Hughes back when AI was in philly.
You were bullish on him from go.

At least that's how I see his game. I agree his floor is safer. Atlanta is pretty confusing with how many 'wildcards' they have. Some people are even high on Huerter, and it seems most everyone has already brushed Collins aside as a hobby darling. He fell into a black hole with Markannen.
Collins prices didnt really budged even after the suspension, sorry about Lauri.

Was difficult convincing some he'd be any better than Lonzo at this time last year.

Admittedly, I haven't really followed Collins prices. Though Space stated earlier in this thread that he recently moved 4 of his cards. I just hadn't heard much about him at all since he came back from suspension. Last year he was getting a lot of buzz.

Again, I don't see any real reason to gamble on any other Atlanta guy outside of Trae, unless someone's hung up on the penny stock mentality. He's going to be the driving force for this team as long as he's wearing the jersey. It's Trae -------------------------------------------> 1b (whoever that ends up becoming)

Really like Cam Reddish. Had a major turnaround by the end of the season. Biggest obstacle to the hobby is Trae Young being the alpha on that team.

May not even be the best Cam from that draft class. Cam Johnson destroyed him in college and is looking like he is going to be a key piece on that exciting, young Suns team. Reddish is still super young though so he has time to figure it out. I just don’t like those shooting percentages for someone that was known coming into college as a shooter. A lot of dookies were more excited about landing him than Zion.

These were Cam's numbers for the last 10 games - 50/40/83. If he can play defense like he did in the 2nd half as well he should be a pretty high-level piece for the Hawks going forward.

Cam is a great prospect to buy into low and that Hawks team is going to be real good with a healthy Capela at center.

Cam and Huerter should be splitting starting minutes but if Cam plays like his 2nd half numbers from the start he will probably push into the starting 5.

Just remember it's Trae's team and Collins is the #2 option. A healthy Hawks team is easily in the playoffs next year.

Default Agreed

The Hawks have a few needs and have more money than everyone else to fix those needs. They've been linked to Jerami Grant, they have the money if need be to overpay him slightly to get him to leave the Nuggets. They've also been connected slightly to Dunn/Melton for their back-up PG situation - they have the money there to slightly overpay to get their guy. They will be regardless of where the cap lands one of the only teams in the league to have serious cash and they've said they are ready to spend to get high-quality players. If like I said they improve their defense with these guys they are going to be a pretty interesting team in the East.

Have plenty of Trae, needed more Cam after selling most of it this summer.

hot take. the best buy right now on the hawks other than maybe trae is kevin huerter. not going to be a superstar but he should put up 15/7/6 in an efficent manner on a playoff hawks team that might sneak into the second round. easy 2.5x candidate. dont expect to 10x ur money on him but if you want a good chance at doubling ur money hes the buy.

Problemo:

Huerter won't be as good or exciting as a Bogdan Bogdonavic.

There's levels to this ish.

Going to be keeping up with this thread. Hawks have been following me a bit. Ended up getting a Gold Reddish auto numbered to 10 in an encased box I opened (graded 9.5 too for whatever that’s worth) and a few other rookie cards of him from a break where I drew the Hawks. It’ll be interesting to follow him around. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off at the end of last season.

From everyone that has talked to him or worked with him this offseason and just the clips I've seen he's bulked up big time. I think he could blow up this year.

He's talented, but hes the 5th -7th option on the Hawks. He was the 3rd option in college. He wont break through. I would sell.
