losing Diggs is gonna hurt....

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rick make a move up on draft day to try and secure Ruggs or Lamb. We have enough picks to make something happen.

Well I'd rather have Nick Foles in Chicago than Teddy. Bummer they aren't gonna stick with Mitch though

Looks like we found Linval's replacement in signing Michael Pearce to 3/27.

Kline also released. We need to find some OL early in the draft. Good thing we have those 13 draft picks. Gonna need to find some cheaper players to fill out the roster

I know nothing about him, but from what I hear, this is a pretty great replacement

Pearce will plug nicely into the d line. Bailey re signed.

Now have about 7 million in cap and the draft to fill:

WR2
WR3
Guard
Guard
Edge
CB
CB

Wonder what the hang up with Alexander was? 1 year 4 M from the bengals seems cheap.

Sendejo just signed with Cleveland

So I guess we went with the cheaper option instead of trying to trade for Harris.

I'm probably overvaluing them since they played here, but I really hope we draft Antoine Winfield Jr or Tyler Johnson. Been such a long time since the U has produced a couple of high caliber guys like this, and both play at a position of need. Would prefer Winfield to Johnson I think, though his size is a little bit concerning in the NFL

I'm a big fan of the Michael Pierce signing. Dude is STRONG! Plus younger and cheaper than Linval.

Winfield Jr is the one guy i want in the draft that we have a realistic shot at without trading up. Really hoping the Rick and co feels the same way

I'm sad about losing him and Joseph the most. We found a decent Joseph replacement, hopefully the same can be said with Griffin. I guess I'll miss Diggs as well but I'm hoping they draft a receiver in the 1st round and makes me forget about Diggs.

I really like the Michael Pierce signing for the Vikings, I was hoping he'd end up in Green Bay. That said, he got PAID compared to what I expected. Minnesota is going to be an interesting squad with all the turnover.

See, defensive line doesn't concern me when we have arguably the best defensive line coach in the entire league. I also think Ifeadi Odenigbo is a more than viable replacement for Griffen. The dude was a beast last year in limited playing time. We have defensive line depth with players who are more than capable of playing meaningful snaps with success. Cornerback is this teams biggest hole right now as we have done nothing to replace what we have lost.

Zimmer is going to want to shore up the defense. They’re not taking a WR in the first.

I think they very well could take a WR in the first since they have two first rounders. However, both WR and CB are relatively deep (especially WR). I think WR/CB with our first two picks is very realistic.

Wow, we've lost a lot of big pieces. I will honestly be surprised if we are even in the playoff picture.

This kinda sucks.

Looks like Hunters contract was restructured. Now have an extra 6m in cap to play with.

Yeah - just pushing they money down the line. Team will look quite different for sure. Doesn’t seem to be a big opening to extend Cook, which is likely a blessing in disguise.

Vikings sign Tajae Sharp to a 1 year deal.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.esp...3fplatform=amp

Seems like a ok signing for a number 3 WR/depth. Horrible if he's the answer for Diggs.

I don't think anyone is expecting Sharpe to replace Diggs. It's another option though, see what we get. I think between him, Bisi, and Beebe, we'll have WR3/4 decently well covered. Both Bisi and Beebe had some good plays when they got time last year. Hopefully we can find a nice WR2 in the draft. Could be trouble if we're running out Thielen with no other big threats and opponents can double cover him all the time

I'm guessing that Irv Smith will be flanked out at "WR" some this next season regardless of who we have at WR. Having him, Thielen, and Rudolph on the field as much as possible will take some pressure off a rookie WR and our "inexperienced" receiving core.

Good point, I forgot about Irv. That'll help a bit

Vikings signed DE Anthony Zettel today too. Hasn't done much the past two years, but had a nice 2017 with 6.5 sacks and 43 combined tackles, including 11 tackles for loss. Could be a solid rotation guy for us.

They also signed linebacker DeMarquis Gates from the XFL. Apparently they had interest in him in the past.

So, as I reported this morning on @MandMWFAN, Source has told me that the Browns and Vikings are in discussions on a trade that would send @obj to the Vikings for a 2nd and 5th round pick next year. Trade is not done, but the deal is being discussed.

https://twitter.com/MarcMalusis/stat...37048143495169

So that's big news. I'm not really sold that OBJ is any less of a diva than Diggs, but damn if it wouldn't be worth a shot. Cousins, Thielen, OBJ, Cook, and Rudolph would be a crazy offense!
