Have I been misspelling "base" my whole life? See alott of "bass" posts. Serious question.

I'd go with the sticker. Something vintage. Nothing bgs.

I think some newbies were misspelling it "bass" and the forum picked it up as a running joke.

To echo everyone else, it's got to be the 86 sticker or 87 fleer.

Along with the 93 scoring king, MJ's other first big insert would be the 92 beam team but that set kinda belongs to Shaq.

Scoring Kings is an interesting answer. I kinda like it, and judging by your budget, you'll be able to get a clean 9 no problem.

Could snag the '86 sticker if you don't mind blowing your entire budget. I have both the rookie and the sticker in a 9 and it's a great pair to have.

I considered Beam Team but I also find the Shaq card to be the #1 card in that set.

One of my favorite looking older MJ cards has been the 1988 Fleer All-Star card with him doing the free throw dunk.

The design of 87 fleer is aesthetically pleasing for sure.

I love the imagine of the 88 fleer all star Jordan.

1993 Scoring Kings definitely is a classic picture/design!

Color complement:
any of the red 84-86 Star cards or green as a "complementary" color.

87 sticker, perfect color match

Photo/dunk complement: 88 all star, 89 fleer

Obvious complement: 86 sticker

Random complement: best Refractor you can get for 3k, I'd go for the 93 finest as that's his first
