As a buyer, 100% toploader. When I get a card in a card saver I transfer it to a toploader, so not getting a toploader is like an extra expense.

Once this goes live toploaders will be even harder to get than they are now. Better buy them up!

Bump . When is this live

I want to charge 10.75 for a $10 card instead of 10 + 3. Probably sell more that way

I Leave packages with a label in mailboxes all the time. Unless they are somewhat higher price or too big, I don't check them in. My PO has a large package drop spot as well.

I'm expecting this to kick on when the postal rates go up in a couple of days. 2oz is going to be 0.75 from 0.70, so it makes sense ebay is just aligning with the post office.

in the mean time, I did purchase some 2oz forever butterflies last week just in case, and they are immune from future raises like forever stamps. just no tracking unless that changes too

Yea I think dropping them off in mailbox might be just a bit slower but will find its way to scan and destination in the end.

I assumed this already took effect. I received 2 cards recently both in the $2 range with free shipping. Both had tracking with them and they were 2 different sellers. The first I'd seen this on that cheap of a card, but I guess it's possible the sellers just throw tracking on everything even if they lose money?

When printing the labels direct from eBay, the option does not exist. It automatically goes to USPS FCM...
Were your labels printed or hand written?
If they were printed labels can you please provide an example?

I won an auction a week ago for $0.99 and it had free shipping. I then got tracking information and was puzzled. Yup, the seller sent it in a bubble mailer with tracked shipping. I made sure to give him a great review, because they probably lost $3 on that transaction.

They were printed. Unfortunately I don't have the envelopes, sorry, they usually go straight in the trash if the card looks good.

Ouch, yeah, losing $ on a .99 cent card would be rough as a seller. Same here, I make sure to leave great feedback too.

Should be available to all sellers in the US from what I read. They said it would be at the end of the month. Waiting patiently...

Not small enough to fit on a standard envelope. 7.5 x 5.125 is the smallest I can find which is a little bit smaller than the full half sheet.

You CAN manually adjust the size of the print though and just trim the label down. It's an extra step but at least the barcode would fit. I use an HP Printer and there is an option to resize the label when I go into print settings.

get a thermal printer or change the size of your labels as noted by auctionjmm

For those who have never worked for the USPS it may come as a surprise that their local postal worker knows nothing about this change. But as a former USPS employee let me just say that management will wait until the absolute last second to alert anyone of this change, in fact some carriers will never know until they are sorting the mail one morning and come across one of these that triggers their curiosity and they go ask their Supervisor or Postmaster about it. Then the carrier/clerk will get lectured and told that they were told several times.

USPS Management is a mess. They have no clue how to hire/promote good people. Spend a year out carrying mail and you are suddenly qualified for almost any postal job!

As far as $1 shipping and tracking...I would love it as a buyer and a seller.

This is how I imagine the entire government works. The line in bold cracked me right up.
