I would love to see this... seems like the most fair system. I have serious doubts as to whether Target wants to put forward the effort and money to implement.

its honestly gonna be kinda funny. From going to Target just about every day, to not at all. Helps that for random house stuff for me and my wife, and groceries we have a Wal-Mart 2 min away and Safeway 5 min away.

Yeah... as I wrote in the other thread, there's no reason for me to go to Target anymore without the chance to find cards in store. There are several stores with similar inventory closer than the closest Target.

I hope it matters. There will be an uproar if Target posts everything Friday morning at 5am to the bot groups and almost all collectors get shut out

Let's be fair - there was no chance to find cards in Target for a year now.

Unless you are one of the 6am line fillers?

Ha Ha. I work for a living and have to drive my daughter to school every morning, so even if I WANTED to wait in line I could not. Plus where I am I could just show up between 7:45 and 8:30 and find what I wanted.

The post in the <other> thread was about my visits to Target dropping drastically from what they were last year as the chance to find cards dwindled. Now that there is 0 chance then those visits will truly be few and far between.

If they do ID pickup that won’t last either. Can you imagine the headache of distributing thousands of boxes to whatever stores then having to check ID for bowman fat packs. Yeeesh. Really interesting. I think it’s just online as usual maybe they will try to make it more inconvenient for botters.

Maybe they’ll do a combo of the two once things get sorted. Pickup for $12.99+ (or whatever hangers are) and random in store drops for packs

Assuming they won't sell bowman fat packs with ID required. The original plan was supposed to be below $19.99 went on the shelf with limit imposed at register. I would imagine ID pick up would be blasters and megas.

There has been no confirmation from anybody who would know for sure yet, but we are discussing the possibility.
How would they even do this? Does anyone expect local inventory to be accurate online?

This is not possible given the system that is used.

These products have never been available for in store fulfillment. Only vendor fulfillment. My guess is that they will be available in ship to your home or ship to store options only.

Assuming it’s not hundreds of packs but rather the $19.99+ maybe instead of taking 2 hours to stock inventory that’s what the rep will be doing seems like it’s anyone’s guess at this point (including Targets)

Is it possible a new/joint system is developed? I’m not sure where the line is drawn on who’s job it is to do what…

Target just killed a number of Excel vendor jobs along with the lost potential revenue of the neckbeards buying a soda or something else on the way out the door.

Me, I will still be going for my tamales but that's about it.

BREAKING NEWS:

At a Target two guests got in to a fight over Hot Wheels Mario Kart Yoshi Eggs. Seems the flippers have moved to these now.

Target will be soon pulling all Hot Wheels from their stores.

I think the buy online/pick up in store/red card option is just a wet dream.

The majority of product is going to bots now. It’s all being moved online and that is their domain. Target is not going to create an entire new work around. Actual retail is dead.

enough people would have to complain, so it would be tough for any real change as there isn't enough people that care about bots. I will say, after i sent recent screenshots of KSI's tweets to @AskTarget.....they never sent me a reply .......thats pretty telling of their apathy

It's depressing that I believe this could be true, whether it is or not.

They did listen and they got tired of it. Complaining isn’t going to bring anything back or fix anything.

I’m willing to bet there are less than 4 people in the entire staff of Target that wants anything to do with sports/trading cards. Keeping it online allows less people to deal with it.
