Four times Elgin Baylor's Lakers lost Game 7s of the NBA Finals — twice by two points, once by three points (in overtime), each time against the Boston Celtics.

In the first of those series, "Rabbit" put up an insane 40.6/17.9/3.7 slash line.

So you were counting on every single star player getting injured?

Don't count your eggs before they hatch.
They still haven't won anything.

I dont count on anything being a given..which is is why id never do what you suggest bc you never know what can happen.i doubt you did what you suggested yourself. You seem so miserable you would hope someone took your advice so they can lose big. Also i dont care who wins..i dont gamble I just hope nobody actually took you serious here..but i doubt they given your pessimistic and ridiculous takes on everything

Stockton and Malone were unstoppable, I really don't know how they can come up empty. Miller was the best SG, he was the modern day Curry.
Stockton and Malone had scrubs for teammates most of their career, and as much as I love Sloan, he wasn't much for adjustments in a playoff series. It was the same game plan every game no matter what.

I also think Malone didn't elevate his game in the playoffs. In fact his numbers take a slight dip in the playoffs compared to his regular season stats.

Plus it doesn't help that once the Jazz figured out how to get out of the West MJ was in their way.

What's insane to me is that Reggie Miller was only a 5-time All Star.

I think that would have been much different in a league were a guy could launch 10+ 3s a game instead of when Reggie played.

Yep he has a ring and is officially an NBA champ as far as the records are concerned, even though he retired early in the season
