Track the card on your own and once it's in PWCCs possession they will update your account in a couple days to let you know it was received. If any problems they will let you know. a few days after the card scan will be visible and it will be curated about a week later.

I'm sure you're fine.
The shipping receipt shows 0.50 oz. There is no BGS graded card in that package.

if you ship to PWCC so as to avoid sales tax, whats the cost to then have PWCC forward the card along to you? Or do they not do that and you have to store the card with them?

shipping cost plus insured value and an archival fee of 1% of the item value, if you don't use the coupon. usually $15 for one card, something like $10k is going to be $100.

If you ship from home you can put any weight on the package that you choose.

Maybe I am paranoid but notifying them a card may not actually arrive in the package seems like a good op. for a card to then truly never exist when it reaches them, jmo.

op should drop the listing link. if the seller had a $10k card someone here likely knows them

sure, however he said shipping receipt. by that I assume he means the actual USPS receipt that the teller prints out after weighing it themselves upon scanning. even though I put 4 oz on my shipping label, most of my single packages weigh on the receipt way under that.

Back and forth its 13 days since i paid and still hasnt shipped the card. Today i made a item not received request and he immediately added the tracking#
The problem is i cant close the case until its logged in my pwcc vault ....but by that time the case will be closed.
Another weird thing is the seller is from illinois but the tracking says the label was printed in florida.
He isn't lying. I've been unable to print labels for this reason and the only work around is to edit the shipping address, which then voids seller protection. I've definitely cancelled items for the address not being able to print.

You still get Paypal payments? I thought everyone was on Managed Payments now?

Anyway, TONS of buyers are registering on eBay now using a COMC, PWCC, or ShipMyCards address. I would guess 1 in 3 packages I ship goes to one of those. BUT they are confirmed addresses by eBay so I am in the clear (and you would be too). Point being you can't exclude these people and stay in business. I'd lose a third of my business if I cancelled every order not going directly to the buyer.

They’re talking about the receipt though, that should show the true weight when the PO accepts it from you. 0.5 oz is way too little, I agree

Yeah I don’t understand the arguments against shipping to PWCC or shipmycards. As long as it is the listed eBay address, you HAVE to ship it there, and honestly I prefer it, because that means A) there’s no “it never arrived, my neighbor must have stole it”, B) no INAD for ungraded, and C) it generally means a buyer who knows what they’re doing and buys often, not some random flipper or kid who will want to return something if the value goes down.

I still think you’d be entitled to a return for them receiving an empty package though. I assume these places have video running in their receiving departments and would be able to prove that a package did not contain the item that was purchased. I think it was mentioned but this is a huge part of their value prop and it wouldn’t make sense for them to keep pushing it if it had this huge, potentially devastating loophole.

So are shipments to PWCC covered or not?

I can't imagine buying a card of any value and never getting to see it. Seems boring. And just reading these boards I avoid pwcc like the plague

Why wouldn't they be? That's the registered address. If you didn't ship it to that address, you wouldn't be covered...

Before this seller gets publicly tried, found guilty, and publicly executed (seems we are halfway there) I think it would be wise to await delivery and opening of the package. Seems the combination of an expensive card and delay in shipping is creating a lot of seemingly unnecessary anxiety. Wait and see what is in the box.

Hoping for the best though..!
This is what I thought as well.

With PWCC when shipping a card to their vault you are supposed to log it online with a detail of the card and the tracking number. That way when the package comes in they will check that it is what it's supposed to be.

Not sure if it would help on eBay but I would video the package from every direction unopened and while opening it. If you have to go to the police, this would be nice to have.

I literally just signed up for managed payments the night of the NBA championship game as my account was frozen since I hadn't opted into the managed payments yet.

Guess that's what I get for selling 99% via consignment.
