There's also pride involved, like when people will only watch certain women sports during the Olympics. If there's hardware on the line, I want my team/player to win. Period.

Where is this UFC Hall of Fame? Can I buy a ticket? Does it even have a physical address? Maybe even a legitimate website with a list of all the inductees?

So no I guess, I was looking for something similar to this:

http://www.ibhof.com/pages/Contactus/contactus.html

You posted a link to buy tickets to the induction ceremony (which aren’t even available) not to the actual HOF. You can’t just walk into the UFC PI and say you want to tour their sham “Hall of Fame” because it’s not even a real thing.

They'll probably get something for the public at some point.

The real reason that it doesn't exist yet, though, is that the UFC is money hungry, and they would rather sell expensive VIP Experience tickets and tickets to UFC X (which is the 2-day fan event that takes place in Vegas every summer).

I'm a huge fan of mixed martial arts, which has a rich history long before the UFC even existed. I admire a lot of the fighters, but that doesn't mean that I necessarily agree with everyone or everything attached to the company.

All that being said, I'm excited to watch the Lioness fight again! Sounds like she is coming out of retirement to fight the winner of Julianna Peña vs. Kayla Harrison

This is almost always a terrible move to fight at older age and after years of not training or fighting. I hope it works out ok... and at least no injury.

It was painful to watch rusty and old Miocic get crushed last year (granted it was expected as he was fighting the GOAT).
BJ Penn got smoked in return... then 4x again.
Liddell got worked badly after un-retire.
Sonnen... Mayhem... Conor... Rousey... endless list of un-retire fails.

...if Amanda Nunez needs money, she could just do appearances, signings, stuff like that. Seems dumb to fight where she'd be 37 with over 2 years layoff at this point. It'll be very hard just to make weight.

Speaking of women MMA (again, I'd never watch if except it's on most ppv card anyways), the UFC is kinda lacking star power women fighters now with Cyborg gone, Holm old, Rousey done... Nunez outta retire is probably a stunt move to somehow generate a bit of buzz as it's thin on attraction.

When do we think UFC gets Dakota Ditcheva? She said she's fine in whatever promo she's in right now and wants to bulk (she's right that most fighters, esp female, peak around 30), but she'd be a pretty good draw that they could put into a title fight fairly quick?

Yeah, definitely this.

I'd be most interested in watching her fight Kayla. Win or lose, it sounds like Amanda would accept a rematch, as well.

She could definitely hurt her legacy with a bad showing. Or she could cement her GOAT status even more. Either way, I'm definitely more intrigued with UFC 316 now.

Not sure, but she needs to make the jump soon. PFL is terrible at promoting and marketing their fighters.

You think Nunez has no chance?

She's a fairly big underdog in betting for the un-retire fight. Ring rust is quite real. Un-retire fighters have a real bad track record.

I'm a fan of Kayla Harrison too, so this will be interesting to watch unfold.

She's the first American (man or woman) to win an Olympic gold medal in judo, and she did it twice (2012, 2016).

If she's able to beat Amanda (which is absolutely on the table)...then that would be make for an amazing overall career and legacy.

Yeah, if Nunez wins after about a 2.5year layoff, it'll have to be with Ko/Tko first couple rounds... they just don't have the stamina with age and lack of training. There is a reason they quit. It'll be Kayla 100% if it goes the distance or even to the champ rounds.

I will check to see who wins it, but it's hard to expect much of these comeback fights. Harrison is a fairly big favorite... and should probably be bigger. There is decent chance Nunez hits a snag and pulls out by fight day too (end of year?).

+130 is not a “big underdog”. A $10 bet would win you $13.
