Definitely could see $30, but on release day I’ll risk a case at $528. Nice to finally rip a case of something! It’s good to see prices on everything coming back to earth.

Preordered a case since I PC MLS and while I definitely overpaid based on the quick drop, I had a lot of fun and will pick up more as the price drops.

I'll post a detailed case review in the box break section later but here are some initial thoughts for anybody thinking about breaking this:

- I love the design and there are a bunch of cool photos. It reminds me of the 2004 Chrome set in good ways. This should be really fun for an MLS fan, not so sure if you primarily follow other leagues.
- Base colation seems not great (pretty sure I only have enough to make 2 full sets while I have 5 of some rookies) but very good for the insert sets.
- Like a recent Topps baseball case that I ripped, color seems to follow specific players (got 2 different #ed of the same player in a single box multiple times & lots of players in the checklist that I didn't hit any refractor parallels of).
- I like the thicker card stock on many of the #ed cards.
- My base variation was a refractor and the code ends in 72. I think the odds are like 1 in every 2 cases or more so these might be pretty rare.
- I got 2 oranges (1 base, 1 Future Stars), 7 gold/gold diamonds, and only base refractor autos (including being shorted 1) so the print run increase means rare parallels will be harder to come by than last year.
- Each box had 6 or 7 #ed cards (skewed towards the /199 blues and /299 aquas) + 1 speckle refractor. Just about every pack had a parallel or an insert with a refractor finish.
- The Gold Diamond and Blue Diamond parallels are really, really gorgeous.
- Minor quip but I hate that the Big City Strikers cards all have the same generic background city this year. Booooo. But big ups for including Landon Donovan!

walmart had 4 blasters of this stuff, im assuming at $27 with tax it was a bad idea??

not even sure who the big chase is in this checklist if any? all i knows is i pretty much destroyed the odds in 1 box with an aqua refractor, a gold refractor, and a gold refractor Big city strikers of Caden Clark /50

For a short period the “blasters are loaded” telephone game will help them move, but they made half as many blasters last year (if you believe pack odds) or just slightly more than last year (if you believe that they put 2x the color in it than the pack odds say) and you can get last season’s blasters for $18 from Blowout.

And per pack odds, last year had more/better color (2x) and I would argue better top end chase “rookies”.

People are dumping hobby as fast as they can without taking a total bath.

The internet is a weird place and maybe this defies logic, but everything points me to not touch the wax at “retail” prices. And I like MLS.

2 weeks in... how we feeling about this? Topps has them up for $85 a hobby box still and can't see them selling out at that price.

It's going to be in stock longer than Scottish Premier League Chrome

Cases are auctioning for $500-550. They aren't "selling out" at $85/box. At some point they'll give up. Blasters already <$19. Two of the bigger soccer breakers out there got through about 5 cases total and have stopped (prizm has taken attention and it wasn't moving much before that).

I'd bet maybe 15-20% of this has been busted (tops) looking at low numbered parallel listings. PROBABLY closer to 10%.

I enjoyed what little I've busted. I'm in no rush to enjoy any more. I think we'll see a lower floor still.

Do you have a feel for what the image variation / speckle / pink PRs look like?

This is a buy at $30 for the Hobby Box. Which is realistically what the MSRP should be, or $40 if I am being particularly frivolous.

Paper should be $20 for the HB for MLS. Which is really a stretch.

I agree with YayNJ that "It's going to be in stock longer than Scottish Premier League Chrome." Scottish Prem is still not a buy at $45. That would need to come down to $25.

My group has ripped 10+ cases and has another 10+ ripping this coming week. Really fun product with lots of color per box, production is way too high though and its tough to get anything /25 or less. Hoping finest isnt as bad in that way.

Here's a snap of the table I have for this:

This is based on:
2,750 Hobby Cases
55,000 Blaster Boxes

Bold are exclusive to Hobby, grey are exclusive to Blasters.

Thanks! Interesting that speckle is shorter print than four numbered cards + the base variation.

You should see last year (no need to actually see it - print run was around 90).

Seriously? I see Speckles going for dirt cheap all the time. I picked up a Paxten from 2021 for less than five bucks.

I’ve tried to scoop what I can. They don’t surface often (Pax).

This was a long time ago now. I guess everyone was concentrating on Pepi, Caden Clark and Cade Cowell back then.

I really like this product so I've continued busting, including 5 more cases during Black Friday from BO for $300 each.

Case #2 produced this beauty. Looks amazing in hand and definitely the biggest MLS card I've personally pulled (before this would probably be the 2008 Beckham UD jersey 'patch' variation #ed to 50).
