Hopefully the paintings were bought mostly by collectors and fans of Mr Jusko and they don't show up on the internet later on at twice the price.
If that 1992 MM promo sheet with that really nice sketch of Venom and that sketch of Surfer (both sketch and card sketch) are concerned it will probably be flipped. I think we would be lucky to see double the prices....can't wait to see what the popular characters will go for.

No doubt some of the popular characters will sell for a large premium.

These recreations remind me of animation production cels, with the painted character and no background.

It looks like surplus of the limited signed version (if there is any) after the kickstarter window will be sold at retail without the bronze Spiderman for a higher price, if comments Im seeing are correct. So however many are ordered during the kickstarter window is what the Spiderman bronze will be out of (not necessarily 1992, could be less).

As of this post, there are still 1,758 bronze cards left on Kickstarter. Looks like I'll be getting myself a pretty limited-edition card.

I'm glad the flippers went for the paintings -- I'm a card collector.

I was surprised by that too. Still like 20 days left, but the biggest percent of purchases I imagine would be close to the opener. I think they're asking, at least for now, that people only pledge 1 copy max of the deluxe limited bronze, which should keep the number down.

I think if/when the two lower versions hit retail the sales would get a good jump. Probably only some many people who interact with kickstarter like this or are aware of it.

Really excited for this release, I think the hardest part for me will be the wait lol. (next April I think). Says the book has background and history of the set, cant wait to read it.

Did I miss the window? I can't find the link to purchase the regular $59 edition

EDIT: I'm an IDIOT. First time on KickStarter, found the link.

30th ANNIVERSARY 1992 MARVEL MASTERPIECES EXCLUSIVE BRONZE SPIDER-MAN CARD
There are two weeks left on the Kickstarter! The original art Rewards were claimed with an hour (FPG and I cannot thank everyone enough) but the Bronze Card reward is still available!
FPG commissioned the same foundry that produced the incredible Silver Age Cover cards several years ago to sculpt and produce the signature 1992 Marvel Masterpieces SPIDER-Man card. 100% solid bronze, not a bronze covered alloy.
The card is limited to and capped at 1992 pieces, but only the number pledged will be produced. Example: if only 693 are pledged, only 693 will be made, which is destined to make it a much sought after collectible on the aftermarket. They will NOT be available after the Kickstarter closes.

I would add images, but its been so long I forgot how.

Here’s a link to the images on my Facebook page.

More paintings added to the Kickstarter. There are 18 left. If you missed out on the first 104 I recommend you pledge now because I don't think they will last long. Thanks Joe!

Good luck everyone!

6 gone, 14 left.

Here's the info on who will be in this "Round 2" batch of paintings.

The 5 Lost Marvel bonus cards from the tin set were: Scarlet Witch, Jubilee, Deathbird, Typhoid Mary, and Feral.
The characters whose paintings were premiered as full page illustrations in the comic collection (which also featured the regular base, spectra chase, and "Lost Ladies" cards) were:
Domino, War Machine, Punisher 2099, Stryfe, The Vision,
Carnage, Doom 2099, Iron Fist, Thunderstrike, Deadpool
Forge, Ravage 2099, Spider-Man 2099, Cannonball, Cyber

I think most of the above paintings made it into the multi-artist 1993 Marvel Masterpieces card set, but there's a chance at least a few of them never became actual trading cards at all. (A spectacular stretch goal or add-on for this KS campaign would be to issue a card set of those 15 paintings in the style of 1992 Marvel Masterpieces for the very first time.)

These new 20 paintings will be issued randomly to the new group of backers, with the same lottery process used for the 104 spots in the original painting collection. That means the buyers will have a 1 in 20 shot of landing any one of the above, which includes several key characters that it's now hard to imagine couldn't make the 1992 cut over a few characters that did (apologies to Weapon Omega and Major Victory enthusiasts).

That Scarlet Witch will be a beauty!

I'm in for round 2

Supposedly, according to FPG, there will be a Facebook group set up for original painting pledges to do some trading. You know, just in case you got Deadpool or Scarlet Witch and wanted to trade it to me 1:1

Just pledged ~ Thanks for everything Joe!

I bust out my old binder with the 92' MM set just to look at it every now & then, some of my favorite artwork of all-time!

11 left.
It's a little rich for me currently, unfortunately, but good luck to those able to take the plunge.
The value is absolutely there.

Way too expensive for me, too, and honestly most of the 15 characters from the comic collection don't interest me at all.

There's now a $425k stretch goal that will turn the 1992 MM Hulk card into a metal trading card added to all book pledges. The current total is $423,316.

There is typically a small flurry of last minute KS pledges, this should almost be a lock from where we currently stand

Just 1 slot left for Original Art, Round 2.
Who gets it?

The Metal Hulk stretch card is achieved and there's now a Psylocke Bronze card to go with the Spidey Bronze at the $295 level.

Looks like 2 spots left now. Last night it was sold out, so must have been 2 canceled pledges.

Props to FPG for putting together this awesome project, with all the extras and stretch goals. They really went above beyond. There will probably be around ~500 of each bronze card when all said and done I imagine (the backers for the limited edition, plus several people will have added it to their other pledge, be it the deluxe, limited, or original art).

And of course major props to Joe Jusko for allowing people who missed out to still land an original art with the round 2. That is an incredible gesture and has to be a ton of extra work. It looks like it’s the 5 tin set + 15 Jusko paintings in ‘93 Masterpieces (several of these are set favorites of mine). It’s all the pieces he did in that set except the She-Hulk- which was a promo and not in the 4-Masterpieces comic set. Congrats to the lucky backers of those, they should be great.

Guess I missed it again. Didn’t check blowout during the holiday season. Oh well. Not meant to be.

Yea back to sold out. Honestly I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did- from Friday till Sunday, then again on Monday. With only 20 spots. Its possible one of the backers could still drop out, already happened twice.

Less than 2 hours left for this.
The basic level is two hardback books and a metal Hulk card for $65, delivered.
