Anyone ever deliver the cards in person, vacation for a few days, and then pick them up?

Their FAQ says this (basically unless you're kind of a big deal, it's not gonna happen):

If you would like to drop off your items at one of our offices, this can be arranged. However, please know that we only accept submissions at our Woodbridge, NJ, office by appointment only and on a limited, case-by-case basis for high-value items and high-volume submissions at our Southern California location. If you would like to set up an appointment, please visit https://www.psacard.com/newjerseyoffice or call Customer Service at (800) 325-1121 for further assistance.

That's great news. The bad news is there is someone handling USPS mail who is a crook. One to bring up with the postal inspector.

Love a happy ending. I always send with signature delivery. In my many years shipping out USPS, it has to do with the post office your shipping it from. I do my shipping around my home area which is pretty upstanding, I have close to 0 loss on eBay since 1998. But when I go to places at work around the city USPS, I lose items. In fact just this year, they closed a post office where I have dropped off and lost items.

Now for the thief, it does not surprise me if they have video of the guy because it seems like the owner responded immediately.

.........and that is why you file a police report. If it was a douchebag dealer, your only legal recourse would be the police report with the detailed information you provided to get them back. Great news and please get a statement from the dealer describing the individual to let the postal inspector know that they have a thief at their location.

A small gift card and one of the Brock Purdy cards you don't actually own.

Since I live in NJ I believe that PSA no longer has the Woodbridge office and it has now moved to Jersey City NJ. Much larger space ( 100,000 plus SQ. ) and does most of the autograph identification from what I see.
