I don’t need specifics, but I’ve seen your posts and you speak in contradicting generalities and create false negative arguments and to those who aren’t familiar with marvel and read these boards hoping to get some insight, it’s just misleading.

My opinion is this won’t sell out on epack at $350/box and will have a more difficult time selling out as compared to Spider-Man metal or other marvel metal products. Your opinion is it will still sell out quickly just because, as far as I can tell, metal is metal and PMGs are PMGs and sketches and sketches. Unless logic and reasoning isn’t valued, that makes no sense as to why you think metal avengers will do just fine at $30 a pack and will sell out “quickly”. So I ask, quickly compared to what? I think you couldn’t be more incorrect in your assessment here but we can let opinions be opinions without any support. Not being a contrarian, but I don’t understand people blindly making statements without any concern for actually being right (ie support and evidence, even anecdotal).

And a false negative narrative is stating something which nobody believes anyway and using it as an argument to support an opposing viewpoint. It provides nothing in moving an opinion or viewpoint forward, rather it serves to provide nothing but filler in the form of words. Stating this won’t hit $100 like fleer ultra midnight sons is pretty much a viewpoint most, if not all would already believe so it doesn’t help the thought that marvel metal avengers pack prices will be $30 a pack.

Philosophy aside, for those who don’t care to sift through the above, I again reiterate that I believe this product won’t last at $350/box. Specifically, physical for the reasons I mentioned in the replies above. Maybe I am wrong, but I don’t believe I will be. I would be absolutely stunned in physical doesn’t reach $200/box at some point. The print run on this is going to be nuts based on the insert checklist. When pack odds come out, I’ll be doing an analysis on projected print run, like most do with other sets.

Yea I noticed that, and hoping it’s just a prelim sell sheet “subject to change” type thing.

I am trying to picture that…two Spidey platinum portraits looking the exact same besides a different set logo…that is comically bad (well not funny to those owning the card). But I mean cmon!

Yea it’s not a great look.

Also someone else pointed out the Moon Knight pmg and Daredevil high # base on the sell sheet are the same art used in Spider-Man metal. It’s as if UD just has a small finite pool of art they’re picking from, when in reality the art in comics is endless.

It’s not a new thing either, most famous example that comes to mind is the 2013 Retro Wolverine PMG is just the Marvel Vibranium Wolverine. The Anime chibi example is particularly lazy, being the very next one in the line of sets and having an insert set be much the same.

I’m glad I decided to go with just original art sets. Don’t have to deal with any of this.

I'll nitpick--I love that Firestar finally has some cards with her new costume. But the back of the card cites an issue from 1998. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess.

But lots of those number cards will be 2 bucks really quick

Yes with pmg prices down so far. It’s tough to get value.

But this looks much better and more fun break then spidey and x men

Seems like 4-5 numbered a box. Print has to be drastically lower

that is not necessarily true....they jacked up the number of serial parallels ALOT

not counting the autographs there are more than 156,000 numbered cards across base parallels and retro/insert parallels that are available in hobby and epack.
As a comparison X-men Metal had just shy of 50,000 numbered cards, Spider-man Metal had about 103,000


I think the print run is lower but not by much.... probably 30-40K boxes (compared to Spiderman ~ 50K boxes, and X-men ~ 35K boxes)

Just added a bunch more numbered stuff and inserts. Which is smart

It’s already jumped to 399.99 from 300 to 350

Would not be shocked if it peaks at 450-500 a box

and a bunch more I cant remember. Seemed to be at least DOUBLE the hits from the Spidey metal boxes. I got screwed out of hits on 4 boxes for spidey metal. Seems they made up for it with this.

I wonder if these are loaded because they might not show up on epack?

Found a site that has boxes for $329. Pretty good price considering….I picked up about a half case. Still 7 left if anyone else is looking for a great price on these. Not sure if I’m supposed to promote other sites but if you’re interested message me and I can tell you the site.
