Beckett's is now indicating that Optic won't be coming out till late June! It was suppose to be on April 19th! Wonder why the 2-month delay.

This is the end of Panini football correct? You can’t release Optic, popular as it is, when training camp for the following season is about to start. The football release well is drier than a bone the next few months. Crazy stuff

No more new football for 3 months but it could get good afterwards.

It's certainly really tough timing at this stage. They have a contract that requires 35 (I believe this is still the number) of NFL releases per year, so they're still going to have to pump 2023 product unless the NFLPA lets them off the hook. The problem is that continuing to release 2023 puts 2024 behind schedule because they simply cannot keep up at this point, whether that be their own doing or some Fanatics influence with the printer. It seems like there will be a really awkward cut off point once Fanatics gets in unless the NFLPA is willing to adjust.

How is the end of an era? Just curious. Contract is 2026 I believe. Fanatics tried to get the contract void but it didn't work. You maybe surprised after the 3 month hold.

A bit of a drop from the 1200 not too long ago.

Insane premium for no on card auto. IE the Black Pandora is highly desirable. Used to be/25 on card and /25 no auto. Now what, /50 no auto?

Odds to hit a /25 BP is worse. Unlike Prizm this has value for autos.

I've seen some people say the Stroud/Young/Levis Fanatics deals were for one year. If that is true, and I have seen nothing to prove that it is, this delay would move Optic to about exactly a year from when we all realized what was going on last year. I can't imagine with their slow pace and delays that Panini is going to have live autos of these guys in Optic, but maybe they could be delaying so they can toss in redemptions for them if this one year length speculation is true.

I don't actually expect any of the above to be true, but it also doesn't seem impossible and would certainly be an interesting twist on the product this year.

So Fanatics paid Bryce Young millions of dollars to basically sign no cards? Has he signed a single card since last year's draft? Same with Levis. Has he signed since last year's draft or anything period for Fanatics? Stroud they could have made a killing on but had him sign only a few things as well. If true on the 1 year deals, millions of dollars flushed down the toilet.

The way Panini's business model is they are better off not signing these guys at this point anyway. I guess it would be worth signing Levis and Young if it's pennies on the dollar compared to last year but for that price Fanatics would still offer more. With what they would have to pay Stroud no way he is worth it with Panini's business model. If they do what they should have done 3 1/2 years ago and cut out their money tree members or charge them what they should charge than probably all 3 would be worth it for Panini. Unfortunately, there is 0% chance of that happening.

Why wouldn't it? BO has to make sure its set at a price that they don't sell a single box of their hundreds of cases. It's been every single basketball and football product for countless months besides for Prizm. Set it at a price where its guaranteed to go down and in most cases go down big immediately. There is a better chance of a new hobby product dropping 35% or more on release date from BO manipulated presale price than it going up 1 single cent over the next 6 months.

When does the last 2023 set come out? We past the draft now. All these cards should be called 2023-24.

Optic, Clearly Donruss and Panini One are all that are left to release for 2023 products according to Beckett's website.
