Explains why BIG dealers were paying 85%+ on what I brought to Chicago last year. Couldn’t figure it. As a Canadian, that was beyond expectation as the US dollar is worth 30-35% more while our buying power at shows here is roughly on par (with what I see, anyway).

It’s fine to say legitimate repack products deliver decent value. It’s not fine to ignore that most of the people scooping up these singles to repack are doing so to create fly-by-night dumpster fire products that get sold on platforms with no oversight and no recourse.

I have no trust in sellers to actually purchase one of these. Those grails either aren't packed or going to buddies

If buying into repacks vs. wax breaks is indicative of people at least trying to get smarter, is the next logical step just buying singles?

no gambling rush with that.


maybe some sort of singles raffle? like have 100 spots of jasssssson dominguez topps s1, 50 are base, 5 are gold, 5 are psa 10, 2 are indy, etc…. or something.
