now I am seeing more and more "regional weather delay" as a reason to push back delivery. I have one coming from the same state I am in that says that, so I know for a fact that there is not a regional weather delay

I'm within spitting distance of OH and my local Fedex facility here is prbly one of the worst in the country for its size/output

Literally everything they touch gets close to an extra week delivery time, my local usps isn't a whole lot better but they still seem to get stuff out a day or two after the expected delivery date at least

Yes, over half of the packages I am waiting on say this in the tracking. Seems like it's a new option that USPS is taking full advantage of.

The USPS is exempt from the hiring freeze. Probably just low care factor on the part of the USPS employees not doing their job properly.

I wish not scanning packages was the primary concern with my PO. I won't go into the list, but the Burnsville MN PO is brutal. I've never seen such incompetence, anywhere in any industry, and that's not hyperbole.

There are 3 Indianapolis distribution centers and they are consolidating down into 1.

Only one has a working belt but PO's are still sending stuff out to the other two distribution centers.

I have a bubble mailer I dropped off last Thursday that still hasn't gotten scanned yet.

I talked to my postmaster this morning and he said that there are delays of up to a week for PWE and bubble mailers right now.

I just had a $300+ Priority Small Box package shipped Monday that went thru and got delivered in Indy today. Blessed.

My carrier always scans. Thankfully. I get stuff marked as delivered today, but I guarantee it won't be in my box until tomorrow.

Just started seeing this as well. How much of a delay have you noticed on your packages that have gotten the "weather delay"? I haven't received any yet, but am waiting on 2 packages currently.

USPS sucks so much.

I dropped off a mailer in the blue box on Monday and it still hasn't scanned. Getting nervous because all the ESE's have.

Lucky. BM's are always a day or two late being delivered here now.

USPS sucks so much.

It’s resulted in 2-3 additional days in delays so far on each package

Has anyone experienced a situation where the shipper claimed to have shipped an item the same day the label was created? I have an incoming card where the tracking is one of those ESUS ones and it shows the label was created in mid-February. As of this morning, that's all it shows. It's not a high dollar item but still a card I want to add to my PC. How long would you guys give it before considering it lost or never shipped?

I had an ESUS order that took 3 weeks to get here and it was a big seller with great feedback. Sometimes things just take awhile if they go through certain hubs or go the wrong way.

The more likely scenario is that USPS is returning the envelope to the seller due to being non-machinable. This is happening more and more these days.

Last 2 ESUS orders shipped got the initial scan upon dropoff at the post office, maybe another scan leaving the origin office, and that's it. But I received positive feedback for both so the buyers got them.

As a seller I experience this 2 or 3 times a week, almost every week. So far I have received no INR complaints, and have received + feedback even with 0 tracking on most.

I have purchased at least a dozen or so items shipped ebay standard envelope in the last few weeks. Only 2 or 3 ever updated shipping status. Every single one got delivered even though they still showed that USPS hadn't received the item yet. Ebay standard envelope never got many updates scans (usually just at regional hubs), but lately they don't scan at all. But they are still getting delivered.

I had another that was stuck in Memphis for days. It was moving and being updated, but it kept going from one Memphis facility to another. I couldn't help but laugh. I can be impatient as anyone, but at the end of the day it's just a card or cards so I don't get too worked up over something that takes longer to deliver than I would prefer.

I ship out a bunch of PWEs every week.

Generally, my PWE shipments take 1-2 weeks to reach their destination. On rare occasions (<=5%), they're lost or stolen by USPS.

Also, in a couple of rare instances, they've taken 3-4 weeks due to USPS temporarily misplacing/losing them.

I'd wait at least 3 weeks before "worrying" about next steps.

That's nice because my local/regional offices don't consistently scan them. I constantly receive messages from buyers asking if I've shipped them out. Probably the most annoying question to deal with, especially because I've done my job as a seller to drop it off at USPS, but USPS doesn't take the time to scan the PWE.

On numerous occasions, they're delivered without any delivered scans too. Fortunately, there's pip claims for lost/stolen PWEs though.

That has to be frustrating as a seller. Some buyers don't understand that once a seller ships, it's out of their control as to what the post office does or how long they take to deliver it. Blasting the seller with messages isn't going to change anything.

Incredibly frustrating.

As a matter of fact, my negative feedback (2) are both PWE-related. One was due to a PWE that was eventually lost/stolen by USPS but the buyer was incredibly rude and non-understanding (started harassing me before we could determine that it was actually lost). The other was due to the buyer being upcharged by USPS (when I paid enough postage for the weight too).

It is what it is though. I do a lot of sub-$20 sales so it's "worth" dealing with any associated hassle.

USPS Priority Mail envelope that I shipped out has not been scanned since February 28.
