Jumbo especially seems like a nice price with the 4 autos per box, grabbed a couple cases.

I never bought this before, i just picked up a jumbo hobby box. How bad can it be for under 300. After looking at the Doruss hobby boxes that went for 4 and change, i don't think anything could be worse.

No Checklist

Must be one of the reasons for the lack of hype surrounding the product this year.

Odds list is out and appears that Jumbos offer better odds than Hobby. Hobby case breaks down to $70 per auto (24 autos) and Jumbo case is $60 per auto (32 autos)

Not following you here. The $ per auto has nothing to do with odds - it's the number of autos compared to the price. It was known that Jumbo had 4 autos for $240, and Hobby had 2 autos for $140.

You mentioned jumbos having better odds than hobby - how so?

I'm starting to wonder if all the chrome autos are on card. The pictures leaked of some autos (Nussmeier red, Sellers red shimmer, Bryce super, Mendoza blue) all are on card autos. And with the Bryce, it looks like a real card - there are spots in the auto where it's a bit streaky, etc.

And the Mendoza blue shown above clearly looks like a real card, and if so it's definitely on card.

First off, love your screen name. Go Blue!

Sorry i worded my previous message poorly. In a Hobby case you get 24 autos with a case price of $1680 so that comes out to $70 per auto. In a Jumbo case you get 32 autos with a case price of $1920 so that comes out to $60 per auto.

When looking at the odds list, the jumbos have better odds of pulling specific parallels than hobby does. For those wondering which is the better buy, looks to be jumbo

Yeah I was speaking to the perceived value - I didn't have a chance to do a deep dive on the odds sheet, which was the reason for my question. I think jumbo is *perceived* to be better value, but I was wondering what the odds said. After taking some time this evening to look through the odds of autos, non-auto color, etc - certainly looks like jumbos provide better value.

How was it last year (jumbo vs hobby value wise)? I only bought hobby, and honestly the checklist was so lazy I barely had interest. This year looks to be much, much better.

When comparing the odds of the hobby box to the jumbo box you have to remember that

a)hobby boxes have 20 packs, jumbo only have 12

b)jumbo boxes should be compared to what you get in 2 hobby boxes

Anyway, based on the odds, you get the following refractors in each box:

Hobby-4 regular refractors, 2 xfractors, .9 shimmer refractors, and around 2.5 #ed refractors

2 hobby boxes-8 regular, 4 xfractor, 1.8 shimmer, 5.0 #ed

Jumbo-4 regular, 2 xfractor, 1.5 shimmer, 3.0 #ed refractors

So you get roughly 3.5 total #d and shimmer refractors in a hobby, and 4.5 in a jumbo, and 7.0 in two hobby boxes

So 2 hobby boxes cost $40 more than a jumbo, but with 2 hobby boxes you get the same number of autos as a jumbo, but 4 more regular refractors, 2 more xfractors, and 2 more #ed refractors

Alright, I'm in for a Jumbo and a Hobby case - the only product I break anymore. Let's get the candles burning for a decent CL.

With Jumbos and Jumbo cases finally "selling out" on Topps.com do we think these will be available again on Topps before release date?

Probably not, and if they do appear, the price will be jacked.

Who are a few of the biggest "1st" Bowman releases in this product?

Bryce Underwood has to be the chase, right?
LaNorris Sellers or Sam Leavitt are 2nd?

Fernando Mendoza, John Mateer, and a few others will be good chases. Bryce is probably the top chase, as you mentioned.
