Was anyone excited about pulling Cole Ragans back in ‘23? Even now, we’re talking Robbie Ray vs. a right-handed Chris Sale/Blake Snell (hopefully with better long-term health).

Why were you that much more excited about Mason Miller than Hunter Greene, and a bunch of hitters?

Too much listening to baseball nerds and looking at his absurd Baseball Savant page with all the 98th and 99th percentiles for good things and 1% for bad things. I've convinced myself he has Mariano Rivera upside and probably need to be more realistic. He is impressive though.

He currently has a higher bWAR than Ohtani. His defense has taken a step forward.

Can’t really argue with that, but he’s got no pop in his bat, flash in his kicks, or swag in his step. He has them in WAR though.

Elite defender but holy moly has his bat never come to fruition.

He does indeed. The defensive WAR machine I was curious to see if folks tossed out is Andres Gimenez. I can see an argument for Hayes and Gimenez, but they both go into the baseball good, hobby bad category.

Overall, 2021 only has 3 players, 2022 has 8, 2023 a robust 10, 2024 a massive 14, and 2025 a paltry 5.

The fact that Wilyer Abreu isn't on this list makes it void.

Just based on selling some stuff that i pulled out of Stadium Club and HHN, Jung Hoo Lee seems to sell better than a number of these guys.

I’d imagine Hyeseong Kim will also sell better than his production.
