Same here a couple months ago, but was late and then was a total dick about what he would sign and what he wouldn't, cause it was free...

I was an '80s kid, you were either Team Hogan or Team Warrior, I was Team Warrior...

NWO will always be one of my favorite times in wrestling, so I will appreciate him for that....
But his personal life BS showed off his true colors...

Even the non Autos flying. Sold about 10 cards on COMC already, just base cards and cheap, but still. Same thing is happening on ebay it looks like. Slightly surprised the prices people are hitting BINs for for Autos, though. Hulk has so much ink out there.

the impact he had on wrestling was so massive, first with Hulkamania and bringing WWF to higher national attention then ever before and then again when jumping to WCW and becoming Hollywood Hulk Hogan with NWO

I was born in '74, so Hogan was 'it'...my dad took me to a couple house shows at the Capital Centre (where the Bullets and Capitals played). 1984-86 was an incredible time to go to the matches..the place seated 18,000-19,000 people and was sold out every time. I'll never forget one Saturday night show where it took us over an hour just to get out of the parking lot..but it was worth it. The place rocked, and when Hogan came out, the place went wild..like 100 decibels loud, people screaming---he WAS wrestling at the time. We loved to go see Andre, Superfly Snuka, and all the others...but Hogan was another level. It's a kind of "you had to be there" thing, but if you were there, this hits harder. Yeah, I know all the damaging things he did later in life, and people won't forgive that..but as a 10-year old being a part of that spectacle, it's a big loss today. I expect there are a couple million 40-60 year-olds around the world that feel the same way.

RIP Hulk!

Edit---"Rocky 3" was big as well--the kids in school--we loved that film, with Mr. T and Hulk in it...that was the "film of the summer" that year that every kid wanted to see that summer ('82)..that put Hulk on the map for us kids.

Any Hulk auto experts? I’m curious as to which one is real. I’ve been seeing the separate “Hollywood Hogan” with two H’s and also where Hollywood and Hogan share an H. Did he do both or is one a fake?

The dual has a Hogan Beach Shop COA annd Beckett and the other has just Beckett.

I loved Hogan and one thing I have learned in life is that when a dark side of a person gets exposed, other people love to poke fun and make comments of how bad that person is but usually those same people saying those comments have parts of them they don’t want to ever come out and are in denial of how “ squeaky clean “ they are as people during their lifetime. Half of you fake squeaky clean people are really undercover Subway Jared Fogel’s.

People coming out and crapping on Hogan today are the social justice losers who still live in their parents basement.

I had a post written up and then decided against. Your post sums it up perfectly. I was born in 1972.

I was in high school when hogan slammed Andre in WM3 and it was all anyone could talk about. Up til then I had only seen Superstars on Saturday morning ( a name wrestler against an ham n egger as Henan called them) and Saturday Nights Main Event.

I finally got to see Hogan wrestle live at a house show in Anaheim in 2002 or 2003 where the main event was Kurt Angle vs Hulk. I had 6th row seats and Hogan came out in the gold and red. So close I could see the crazy acne on Angle’s back. For a bit I was 12 years old again.

RIP Hulkster.

It's the epitome of virtue signaling

Did he say some horrible things? Yes

Did he apologize? Yes

Did he change or was he ever really a racist? Only the people who actually knew him could say that

Does what he said, outweigh all of the charity work, donations, make a wish, visits with sick kids?

Everyone is human, makes mistakes, and goes through their own battles/struggles in life

All the people treating him like a murderer, pedophile or domestic abuser and saying rot in hell or rest in piss...is very telling of todays society

I personally think they admire his union busting in the locker room.

I was born in 1975 and in the 80's thought the dude was awesome. But then I grew up and learned about perspective and separating the show from reality.
