As a Phillies fan, I agree with this! Put all the pressure on the Dodgers: if they do not with the WS they will be one of the biggest failures in the history of baseball.

Forget the Mets, the Dodgers payroll is 200M over the Yankees, 300M over the Padres, 450M over Brewers. They should obliterate everyone.

The Dodgers don't have 1st ballot guaranteed HOFer Schwarber, though. I voted no because of him and him alone.

Without him, the Dodgers have a superior lineup and rotation. The bullpen is the question mark, but the Dodgers have moved starters into the pen to shore it up. |

Christopher Sanchez, the Phillies' best starting pitcher this season, gave up 8 earned runs in 12.2 IP against the Dodgers this season -- the Dodgers lineup is clearly not intimidated by him.

I don't think they would have any issues vs SD, MIL, CHC. Maybe PHI can beat them, but I really doubt it without Wheeler. As for AL, I think only teams with a shot would be BOS or DET only because they have a starter that in theory could dominate but they don't have them go 1,4,7 anymore. The Yankees could probably put up a better fight than last year, but I think the Dodgers have so much confidence vs them. I don't think SEA or TOR could put up much of a fight.

All of the teams in the playoffs won between 53% and 59% of their games this year. That makes a difference over the course of a 162 game season, but a 3, 5, or even 7 game series, not so much. Also the teams who were winning below those percentages are no longer in the pool. The MLB playoffs are little more than a series of coin flips from a statistical standpoint. Which is actually a good argument for declaring a champion based on season record rather than a post season tournament, but that's way less fun. But I digress. Yes the Dodgers could win, but so could any other remaining team.

The Dodgers bullpen is leaky and unreliable. I would love to see another title, but I don't see how the Phillies bats don't maul the Dodger bullpen over the course of the NLDS.

If the Dodgers have a kryptonite it’s the bullpen. Will be interesting to see what the Phils do with it. Roki can’t cover every inning and if one of the starters goes short, cue the circus music. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Brewers went 6-0 vs the Dodgers this season.

They'll have to first get past the Cubs -- the season series was pretty even: 6-7 W-L, 56-60 run differential.
That is pretty bizarre, though -- they also went 0-6 against the Angels this season. The last time they went winless in at least 6 games in a season against an opponent was the 2006 Cardinals -- the eventual World Series winner. |

I have a $50 bet on the brewers to win the WS, so no, I don’t see the dodgers winning.
P.s. the $50 bet was a bonus bet, not actual cash. But I still wanna win $350 |
