I just picked up the Correa base relic /99 for 50 bucks since the autograph was sold out. Seems like a pretty good deal considering the price of the other base relics. (This is the first topps Now item I have purchased, will be interesting to see how it looks in person!)

The #/10 and #/5 both still in stock.
I guess the price doesn't justify without any ink on it.

1000% correct. The new norm is relic plus ink for the prices Fred is throwing out.

I'm hoping Fred gets creative and does relics for game used balls and game used jerseys PLUS ink. Have to mix it up.

I have to admit this whole thing has been pure genius on the part of Topps. I have stayed away mostly because of my OCD - once I start a set of something I have to finish it or it eats away at me - I was really hoping that last year they would do a reprint set for the likes of me but alas they did not. Great fun for those that enjoy it - and again, a truly brilliant concept on the part of their marketing people.

That would be a good card in terms of reflecting how the game went down, but won't have much hobby value.
People might still buy since it is Team USA card, but it is a risky move by Topps.

So, I also wonder what they are going to do tomorrow.
They already see the failure in ball relic card (though I like the idea itself).
Another negative in addition to having no ink on that ball relic is that we don't know which ball it is.
It is probably just one of the balls that hit the dirt and got replaced or something.
Who wants to pay $300 for that right??
The Puerto Rico vs. Netherlands #/10 and #/5 are still in stock at past midnight!!
While I like the idea, Topps failed big time business wise.

But again, I don't think they are flexible enough to change the concept from ball relic (might have some kind of contract with MLB/WBC for making those cards already), so will probably see another ball relic card too.

Netherlands Team set only sold 70 sets...
Don't know if there will be any upcoming demand for these cards, but some sought after cards might be Schoop, Bogaerts, Simmons.

Holy cow. Glad I bought a set. Doubt it will have much of a resale market. But not sure how many will become available and wanted one for the PC.

is my guess for the base cards.
Relic / Relic-Auto, I don't know who they are going to choose, but Jones or McCutchen most likely (though that shouldn't be a hobby favorite choice like I mentioned above).

I was watching the game on MLB.tv and had lots of fun, so bought one just for my collection.
If USA wins today, I might go for the red that should be coming out tomorrow.
It's the Finals, so I think there will be another surprise as well, like a jersey swatch/patch card.

What do ya think it will be? A team card? Stroman? Kinsler? McCutchen? Stanton? Jones? Crawford?

I was rooting for a Buster Posey but he didn't play in the game last night.

Stroman and Kinsler have little to no hobby love. McCutchen does... but not nearly as much as Posey.

This would be a great opportunity to showcase Stroman - I agree he gets no hobby love, so why not give him a key WBC Champs card? I mean he was the dominant player out there, hopefully he gets the deserved headlines.

I missed most of the game yesterday, as I fell asleep at around 3rd inning

Consecutive days of late night baseball was tough, especially living in East Coast.

I was hoping for a jersey relic card, but I don't think it will be possible, after thinking how much those jerseys mean now.

Whether I buy or not is a different story (because I think the prices will be very expensive), but it would be cool to see Stroman glove relic #d/5 or something.

I hope the base relic price stays in the affordable price range, as I intend to get one of those at least.
