Oh is there a shortage of Simmons investors on this sight?? Between the Magic and LeBron comparisons I couldn't really tell. If you need another cheerleader that's not me, sorry bud. What I can tell you is that he's a great defender. And when I posted the clip of him locking down Doncic in the pre-season, I caught just as much flack as I do when I post negative things, so you know - that's not very much positive reinforcement for me to continue posting things he does well. And besides, that's pretty well covered here. But again, congrats on him really doing well against the Hawks and Bulls.

Boston and Toronto just have ridiculous depth from the bench which will be hard to overcome.

I do expect Boston to continue to get better. It's like the Lakers...it's going to take time for everyone to get used to their new roles and lock down.
Yeah Boston's depth is unreal, Toronto flashes their depth on a nightly basis and they still might not be as good as Boston. And good point about LA - who by the way, I'm not worried about just yet. It's Lebron, just give him some time, and Lonzo hasn't looked too bad tbh. I still think they'll likely grab the 5 seed.

Agreed. Boston does have the slight nod in overall talent, but man....we've seen what kind of monster Kawhi can transform into come the postseason. He's a top 3 player when he's in his groove. Perhaps even top 2.

Well if by some chance TOR got to the finals and had to play GS or even GOAT LeBron. Kawhi would give them a pretty great chance as he'll guard KD or Bron, Bronny in particular would really struggle and wouldn't guard Kawhi at the other end now he's getting so slow.

If Kawhi is at his best, damn he could be no. 1

Went back and deleted all my Kawhi comments from the past year. Wish he would have handled the situation a bit better ,but damn he can ball.

It's disappointing to me that Lebron shies way from guarding the opposing best player. Never really been his thing.

But yeah, Kawhi presents some major problems on both ends. If Lowry and Pascal can keep playing well, that's a scary proposition.

Plus Toronto is deep down low. JV off the bench is a double double threat, and Monroe could actually be somewhat decent if he managed to pull his head out of his ass.
