didnt the Sox already extend Luis Robert? meaning unless he completely bombs out in ST, he should make the bigs early enough to be in Series 2

other possibles, Jo Adell, Royce Lewis, Sixto Sanchez, Alec Bohm,
Luis Robert is pretty much the only guaranteed guy, and while he could easily carry the product, he isn’t necessarily going to light the world on fire in his rookie year either. Adell has a good chance to make it, as does Dylan Carlson, but all those other names listed are longshots for series 2 in my opinion.

If I were Topps I would’ve held back one of Lux/Bichette/Hoerner and one of Luzardo/McKay/May/Puk. But don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely happy they didn’t.

And May is on the checklist.

Tatis and Alonso aren’t in Series 2 Silver Packs.

Evan White should be in S2. Also the Reds CF from Japan could be a decent name. But I agree it would have made sense to hold a guy or two back for S2.

It's not as big as you think when you take out silver pack cards and retail/Target/Walmart inserts....

I don't think any of this years series' will be as good as 2019 S2. The great thing though is that it is looking like all 3 well be very good. 2019 S1 is just a complete dud, and Update was just ok. We are looking at Robert, Gore, Adell, Mize, Pearson, Pache, Bart, Carlson, Sixto, Bohm, Grayson, Madrigal and others all potentially in play for S2 and Update. And then there are the gasp-inducing possible call-ups of Wander or Adley. It should be a great year start to finish.

These are all great additions down the road, but most are highly doubtful for Series 2. Robert has the best shot and I'll give him a really good shot at Series 2, but I would bet none of the others make the Series 2 checklist.

Imagine if most of these guys dont make S2 (which they probably wont) but a good portion of them make Update along w/ Wander...the world might explode. I personally think Topps & the Rays make a business decision...so the earliest we could see Wander is S1 2021.

So I need a crystal ball to say that I don’t know how a player will do upon call up? That’s a pretty crappy crystal ball.

I think we see Robert, Gore, Pearson, Carlson, Sixto, and Madrigal in Series 2. I think that is a really awesome group, not only as a White Sox fan, but also because that is 3 CY-potential kind of pitchers. And Carlson could well end up being the best player from this year long term. Then we have Adell, Mize, Pache, Bart, Bohm, and Grayson in Update.

Imagine Topps Chrome with the S1 lineup + Robert and possibly others.

Looks like they forgot that Alex Young of the Diamondbacks had a Rookie Card last year.

You literally said, “he isn’t necessarily going to light the world on fire his rookie year either.” So obviously you know something we don’t, since you know he won’t have a good rookie year as your quote suggests. I was just wanting the same crystal ball to show me how guys will perform in their rookie year.

Either that or you misworded what you actually meant.

I don’t really want to get into an argument over the word necessarily. I could’ve worded my statement better.

I think we see him next year. Seems to be on a similar trajectory to Acuna, who was up quick too

Probably depends on the Rays record. If they're in the hunt, there's a chance be up in the second half of the year. If not, they'll probably hold him to get the extra year of control.

Can't wait until next Wednesday! Gonna grab a few boxes and a few jumbos for myself. Really glad to see Alvarez, Bichette, Aquino, and Lux on that checklist

I have 10 cases on the way...my gut tells me to rip but I think these will also be great a couple years from now for anyone that keeps sealed. Should be a blast!!

Strong checklist...kind of surprised we have not seen an uptick in the price of Heritage since one could presume the checklist to be similar.

And the Heritage design is lights out this year. I'm especially looking forward to the white refractors.
