Beautiful Ichiros!

And yeah, the PSA preference for retrofractors are really showing.

Hello Ichiro fanatics and experts!... does anyone know anything about the 1993 and 1994 Orix Fan Appreciation Player cards?

My first Ichiro card. For $1.55, I couldn’t resist.

Nothing too big. Just a really clean card that I wanted to share. I pulled it whilst chasing Buster Posey

Some great Ichiros in here. Though I'd share my small Ichiro PC with y'all.

I saw it yesterday, very early morning when TBS was airing it live.

Forget the MSN link, this is the original:

Question for Ichiro collectors

Which one do would you take if both were graded an PSA 8

2001 SPX or 2001 Sp Authentic

How about a BC PSA 9?

SP authentic is serial numbered and a fantastic, extinct pedigree. BC is nice too.

I appreciate you chiming in.

What are your thoughts on the SPx? In your opinion has the SPA taken over SPx?

ok ok ok. i was being funny

SPx - Trap Window Auto. so not on card, but still an auto

SPa - Serial Numbered and more importantly, that is the Ichiro Rookie Card that is part of the PSA Registry

Bowman Chrome - you did not specify if it is the English or Japanese version. This card is amazing and sneaky tough because both were redemptions (even though not autographed)

What TBP said. But to add , if you can get a full, nicely framed, Ichiro auto in the SPX window, you have a good argument to prioritize. My heart is with SPA, but the BC is hard to knock for the reasons stated.

Thanks TB and TBP for your input. I'm looking to pick up the one I find at the best price.

I did not know the BC was a redemption. I like the refractor finish on the the BC. I also favor Japanese version as I think it is neat looking. The pricing is in nice range.

I actually just picked up one of the BC Japanese versions recently. Just waiting for it to come in the mail

I had a Bobby Witt Jr. Topps Gallery Blue Autograph RC Redemption get lost by Fedex from Topps. Contacted Topps and they sent me this Ichiro as a replacement. My first ever Ichiro auto. Pretty happy with the replacement. Only wish he was in a mariners jersey.

If the SPx has a solid full autograph, I would pick the SPx without any hesitation. It has a jersey patch and Ichiro didn’t sign too many 2001 cards. If I remember correctly, Upper Deck said they made no more than 1000 of them?

Between the SP Authentic & Bowman Chrome, I would go with the SP Authentic.. but the Bowman Chrome wouldn’t be far behind.

I hope that helps!
