e-Pack Marvel Unbound

I pulled a rainbow and a canvas. Is that good? First time opening an Unbound pack

Annnnd….Ghost Spider’s already up on comc, base opening at double price around $30, but I’m sure will fall.

The unbound set at this point has basically become a Flip/Gamble product. It’s the online equivalent of the basketball people clearing out retail shelves during the pandemic to flip. A regular customer going to buy some retail blasters sees just empty shelves…just as regular buyers trying to buy a pack or two of Unbound will likely get a non-working site while the flippers/gamblers clear it out with bots.

Glad I’m not doing these, it’s a joke. I got on epack just to see today, and site was completely stalled, couldn’t even load the pic of the pack. Going by what Remi said, sounds like it’s mainly a group of people dominating the product.

All this for a character who showed up in 2014. I get it's a female and a "spider" character, but I've never gotten the mystique around her.

Comc base down to around 15. I think people are just seeing this as a free gamble. ‘Striking out’ is getting a regular base, but then you can probably sell it for around pack price and don’t lose. Chance to hit $ card like sketch without a loss. Hence the bots.

I’d be curious to know how many people are circumventing the 2/person rule. At best case scenario, with 1999 packs, are there really 1000 unique people glued to epack at the drop to buy…..but that’s best case: we know tons got locked out. Maybe only like 1 of 5 trying were able to buy packs as a guess. So were there really like 5000 people watching this, or were some gaming the system with >2. Based on my experience in the marvel card hobby (number of views I get on marvel card eBay listings, amount of action this subforum gets, number of views some of the top marvel card YouTube channels get, Im guessing it’s the latter and that there aren’t ~5000 unique people ready at the drop to buy. True you get general epack people and people from sports getting in on it for the $, but still.

Yea she seems on par with if not more than Miles Morales in terms of collectors of her cards. The ‘Spider’ obviously huge but also her design I think. Doesn’t hurt that fred.ian did a great job with this particular one.

If we’re being honest the historic Spider-Woman wasn’t that popular (thinking like 70s and 80s). I think it’s that spider gwen has a more ‘cool’ factor than the spider-woman of old.

30 isn't even that bad. Last year the Spider-Man base was selling for 100 per all day on comc before the price dropped.

But you needed the Spider-man for the achievements, you don't need Ghost Spider anymore.

I do remember that with the Spider-Man. Hands down Spider-Man trumps Spider-Gwen. Achievements would be a moot point since once being sold on comc it’s off epack for the achievement.

It’s interesting to follow the comc pricing of these major Unbound base on the first day of release. Price volatile and fluctuates all day- a case study in markets and stabilization. I’d like to see a plot of the comc price vs time on a graph for these key base, I bet there are some similar trends. So far a large drop but then slight come up. Moving rapidly. Where does a base like this stabilize…around pack price?

Another interesting graph would be COMC availability. People listing now are flipping or trying to recoup costs. Numbers on COMC should dwindle. Then there will be more showing up again after achievements are done.

Maybe it is calculated to minimize traffic? We see how it works regardless. And really, there isn't a time that is prime for multiple time zones.

Hello everyone! First Post on here, Ive come searching far and wide for the last two unbound autos to complete the set. I recognize a few names in here so I may be wasting time but worth a shot, I need an epack unredeemed black widow and Mrs marvel. If anyone has them locked Im willing to give up heavy for them including redeemed copies so you have them. I hope everyone is enjoying the day!

Problem is some people already know the checklist on the Facebook group based on original art being sold. So if the information is getting released by Ian or Upper Deck to a small group of people it makes sense to make the same information available to all people.

I don’t think tomorrow’s character is going to be Ghost-Spider caliber but a ton of eyes will still be refreshing based on how much interest was generated by last week’s card breaking the website. Kind of like how Spidey broke the website last year and the remaining weeks became a mess.

I didn't know Fred&Ian were selling original artwork before release. They could randomize the artwork sales so no one knows what's being released that week. Or just wait until after the card is released on epack.
