We will get Marwin and Tyler Wade on an everyday basis most likely....

A player like DJ hitting the IL is the perfect opportunity to promote a kid, see what he has, and if he falls flat on his face, you have the easy excuse to send him back down when DJ comes back. It's a win-win for the team. If he succeeds, you look great because you gave him a shot and the team is better for it. If he doesn't hit well, it's ok, he's young and was only a temporary fix.

This team is so mis-managed (both at the Boone level, but also the front office) it's hilarious. We only compete and win because we have the money to have a $200M payroll. If we were forced to have Cashman try to win with Tampa's payroll we would be 60-102 every year
DJ said that he expects to play today. So even if he doesn't, I don't expect him to hit the IL.

Also, Tyler Wade isn't on the 40-man. I would expect it to be Marwin/Gleyber which is bad news.

The problem is you still are seeing things as if a baseball team is the main priority. It's not what's best for the team, it's what's best for business.

Yankees aren't worried about these "slumps". The numbers say this won't last and we will win more games and make the playoffs, which equals a successful season.

Winning the w.s. is not important. Staying within the financial parameters and putting a team on the field that can compete for a playoff spot is, that's what's good for business. Rinse, wash, repeat every year. If we happen to win the w.s. a given year, that's a bonus but not the goal. We made the playoffs = successful season.

Then we'll hear the Hal and Cashman b.s. about not winning it all but it's just lies. Hal is happy and Cashman had another successful season.

Just watch how judge is handled. The computer will print out a number for judge, it will be offered to him. Some team will offer more years and he's gone. The business model here will simply not allow us to spend more than what the computer tells us.

The New York Yankees: Pride, Power, Pinstripes, and hey, if we make the playoffs, anything can happen.

Anyone see PooPoo Head Hal at a game this year? Remember this when he's telling us how much losing in the 1st round hurt him this year.

Cashman is here until he retires people, and guess what, he's hiring his replacement as well

The bottom of the order has been better than the middle of the order.

Interesting move putting Torres at lead off and he lead off the game with a hit.

And Cole gives up a run. He'll probably be a 1-0 loser.

3 more years of Hicks @ roughly $30M total

1 more year of Donaldson @ $27M

I have a feeling with the addition of Bader, they are going to move Hicks in the off season even if they have to eat the money. There's no reason to trade for a defensive center fielder and then never play him.

Bases loaded with 2 outs. Will they get the 2 out hit they need? Can anyone get a hit with RISP?

Oh, Hicks is up.

I mean he really can't be worse, right? Misplay a fly ball for a run, then hit into a dp with the bases loaded.

I mean, he doesn't even strikeout when we want him too.

Why pay Hicks he is already making enough money blowing games.

It's almost like the Yankees are trying to set the all-time record for disappointment. To play so well for the first half of the season, build up a division lead that's almost too big to squelch (they will, though), and then play the absolute worst baseball in the history of the game for the second half of the season is about as disappointing as I can imagine a season being.

Trevino had that hall long enough but he got the strikeout anyway.

We seriously should have traded Gleyber away too and given the full time second baseman job back to DJ. Dude is never going to love up to the hype or potential.
