Might be obvious, but did you double check them? They’re not red backs this year. And the number is handwritten on the front, instead of the back.

That is a loaded case but even breaking down actually eBay selling value you prob lost 50 percent.

Some people actually open cards to collect them and enjoy them. This constant focus on losing money is honestly irrelevant. It’s almost all a “losing” proposition. People buy for different reasons. Sell some, collect the set, enjoy opening. People who are just looking at ROI need to to realize that this is almost never an investment to open cards. I think ROE (Return on Enjoyment) is more important and should be more of a focus. It’s a hobby, not an investment club.

I opened 16 Boxes yesterday and here are some notes!

I pulled 10 Autographs
7 Non-Baseball (Palmer x2, Pichardo x2, Mayer, Charania and Kyle Schultz)
3 Baseball (Robert, Stott and Buxton)

The Framed Relics are much more predominant names than I recall. Normally you'd get one to two decent names but MOST of my framed Relics were HOFers.

1x Brooklyn Back - David Ortiz. Numbering on the front is lame
1x NNO Mini - Derek Jeter

2x Triple Rip Cards - One from the sealed case and one from loose boxes.
Cobb /99 & Verlander /99

Zero Single or Double Rip - This is a theme with me - I've opened a lot of Ginter - I've NEVER pulled a single or double rip. These Triple Rips are my first rip cards I've ever pulled over multiple cases. I always seems to miss these.

I did hit two Silver Portrait Hot Boxes. The first one was great condition and all different cards. The second box was weird, tons of duplicates and some minor surface marks on the very condition sensitive foil.

The filigree parallels are new and a nice touch in my opinion. The 'In Action' look like an insert and I don't think are going to do much for people. I pulled three - Riley Greene, Seager and Oneil Cruz.

1x Framed Cloth Card - I do love these - Luis Arraez

The cards overall were in great condition. I had one box missing a hit (I had already pulled an auto in the box so probably not missing much). I had a box that was missing 3-4 minis and also had a mini turned sideways and severely damaged.

Box Toppers - I have seen the same comment from a lot of people, on the oversize box toppers I have one player I have 3-4 of but the rest are all different. If anyone needs a Mike Trout let me know!

Very well said, a lot of people completely ignore the fun factor on ripping packs of cards. That's probably why I love Ginter, just super fun opening the packs and seeing all the interesting cards and mini sets and then once in a while a really cool hit. Plus it's never gotten that crazy price spike like so many other products have now.

Agreed on both of these points. The filigrees are really nice. I don't know what the print run is on them, but they would make a killer set.

And the In Actions are a miss. A Ginter variation using the base design but a different picture would have been fine. But this is just an insert set with a shorter print run, but not a short enough print run to make anyone care about it (it's not Downtown or Kaboom). It's more like those wooden lumber cards that they put into flagship this year. Nice to hit it, but it's not going to wow you.

Yes, on the Actions, they at least could have used to same back as the base card to make it more like an Action variation. Cool, but not as desirable.

I only bought 5 boxes instead of my usual case because I wanted to grab some singles this year.

3 from BO, 2 from elsewhere.

Couldn’t do much better. 1 of the 5 was a silver foil hot box.
The rest of the boxes were fantastic.

Julio Rip /199
Acuña Boxloader Triple Rip /99
Corbin Carroll RC Auto
Gabriel Moreno RC Auto
Fred Kerley Auto
Sarah Natochenny Auto which I was originally bummed about. Whoops.

Not going to do any better than that.

If you pull a Robert Kraft auto, Thomas Ian Nicholas auto, or any Red Sox autos I’m your trade partner.

All will be available FT or FS. Rips are staying sealed.

What I can't understand is why they don't have the non-baseball subjects wear interesting patterns. It looks like some of Bomani Jones' relics are from a tie, they're sweet.

Some celebrities have posted about that. They usually get asked by Topps to mail them a piece of used clothing

The market has spoken. Sarah Natochenny Ginter autos are only worth $200 bucks. Not the thousands of dollars somebody here on the forums was saying earlier.

A&G autos are usually like $20. A person included on the checklist that brings 9-10x that is excellent and is considered a top tier auto for this set in any year.
