Guy had 8 touchdowns to 7 picks last year- and how many were pick 6’s? Dude sucks

Texans get: Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and 2026 sixth-round pick.
Eagles get: LG Kenyon Green and 2026 fifth-round pick.

CJGJ is a good player, but he has self-control issues on the field. That's a pretty big void to fill at the safety position.

DE Sweat to Arizona.
CL Williams to New England.

Pickett to Cleveland for a Thompson-Robinson and a 2025 5th round pick.

Slay cut.

Baun gets big money.
Barkley extended.

#1 priority now has to be extending Dallas Goedert. He's going into his last year of his deal.

#2 priority is filling gaps on defense.

#3 is figuring out if they're going to extend Mekhi Becton.

Eagles are stacking up compensatory 2026 picks with a lot of the moves they are making - the question is are the "next men up" on defense prepared to play well next year? With the losses on defense, the odds they remain the #1 defense are slim to none, but can they remain a top 10 defense losing a starting safety, CB, DE and a DL who played 47% of the snaps last year?

One thing Howie is good at, however, is bringing in players on the cheap in May / June. The big $$ is flying around now, but I have to imagine Howie has his eyes on some players.

But GOEDERT NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED!! He helps both the running game and passing game. Our #2 TE, Grant Calcaterra, had one reception for four yards in the playoffs.

Get 'er done Howie!

Roseman knows why he’s doing for sure. I read they could move Goedert for a 4th round pick

I'd like to believe he's got feelers on Justin Reid in hopes of getting him in a Malcolm Jenkins-style move. He'd be a solid fit.

Justin Reid to the saints

Still have no idea how the saints have signed Young and Reid when their cap situation is a disaster

The cap is an absolute myth. We all know this

I might be dead before Deshaun Watson is off the books. You can kick the can for a decade

At some point you have to pay the piper, though, right? Or no?

The Saints should be signing me as a depth piece, not re-signing Young and getting Reid.

It’s the reason that the Saints are still married to Carr despite not wanting to be

Lot of talk about the Giants and Steelers both holding out waiting to see who gets Rodgers and who gets Wilson. Imagine battling it out to see who gets either of those washed QB’s

They essentially are every season. They have so much dead cap this year and in the previous years that upwards of 10% of their cap has been dead space. Eats away at your depth

My opinion and radical idea for the saints. Full tank, eat all the dead cap this year as much as possible. Tank this year. And then clear your books as much as possible and draft a QB in 2026

Carr’s dead cap is I think 80 million if they wanted to move on at all

Cash? Yes
Cap? You can restructure forever (within reason)

Watson will get $230M from Jimmy Haslam

They can restructure until the end of time if he agrees to it

It would be a great idea. It’s extremely hard to tank in the NFL due to the small schedule. You saw it this year. Giants were in a prime position and then one drew lock supernova game and tank is dead

As long as the cap keeps growing this much every year, then it will be fine. By the time it comes due, it wont be that much compared to how high the cap is. Now if for some reason the cap stagnates, well then it might hurt.

I'm not a cap expert but I was listening to some people that cover the league for a living talk about it and they made it sound like the new cap is a joke. It will keep going up every year so most teams will be able to keep all of their good players. That's why paying Darnold $30 million isn't a big deal because by the time his deal is up that will be a relatively cheap price for a QB

Already is a cheap price for a starting QB not on a RC contract.

You can't "kick the can" more than 1 year down the road past when the player is no longer on the team. IOW, if 2026 is Watson's last year as a Brown, all those "void year" dollars accelerate to 2027. So Cleveland has to figure out a way to allocate $135 million for Watson in 2026 and 2027.

That's going to be a darn big cap hit in 2027 for a guy who isn't even on your team. All the people who think the cap is not a real thing have no idea what they are talking about.

The cap has gone up roughly an average of $25 million per year since the Covid year. It could be $300 million next year.

The NFL is going to opt out of their TV deals in 2029 and make a bloody fortune. That too will impact future cap numbers. $400 million by 2030 is quite likely.

I couldn’t care less if you could actually care less

DTR shouldn’t even be in the XFL let alone the NFL

The Browns still have 11 picks in the 2025 draft. 12 rookies aren’t making the team. The pick was irrelevant

You should be asking Steelers fans how it feels to waste a top 20 pick only 2 years ago on Pickett

You aren’t that smart though

It's essentially what the Eagles do.
