Question:
In the last few years before 2022, it appears that the bottom of the regular season standing and the playoff standings changed based on performance in the playoffs. In 2022, we just kept the bottom half of the standings the same for both regular season and playoffs. Obviously this impacts the order of draft picks. Did we make a rule change regarding this at the end of the season that I just missed? Just looking for clarification, not trying to blow up the league.

Straight up - I messed up

Looking into this, you are exactly right. Per our current rules, the consolation bracket results from the non-playoff teams should have factored into the final standings. The other two paid leagues I run here both have the non-playoff teams' seasons done after the regular season with playoffs not impacting draft position, so I must have went with that as default and did the same thing here last September when posting up the final standings

For what it's worth, I think that would be a good rule to adopt here too, but that does not excuse or downplay my mistake. Just an aside

I am not sure what to do about this, honestly. We've been working off of this for weeks now and there have been so many trades that it would be hard to justify moving around the draft order to try to correct this. Here is what the order we've been going off of:

1. Jac
2. Tex
3. Ray
4. Pcarl
5. Chitty
6. Chris

And here's what it should have been:

1. Pcarl
2. Jac
3. Ray
4. Tex
5. Chitty
6. Chris

So this only impacted 3 teams, but that includes Pcarl being 3 slots lower than he should have been, Jac one slot higher, and Tex 2 slots higher
