Received an offer on this today, what do you guys think it’s realistically worth in his current market? 1/1 US300 Archives Auto

Love this card but... I probably wouldn’t offer more than 1k for it .. don’t know if that helps .. and I’m not a tight wad either ...

Got these 2 in today. Gotta say I was worried that the 3d wasnt going to ship due to how cheap I got it for, I paid more for the 2020 3d if that gives you a clue to how cheap it was.

For that eBay asking price ($30k), what I would pay for that isn’t anywhere close to that ballpark.. to be honest, it’s not even in the same galaxy.

To me, the card is still a “2020 Autograph”, it just happens to be on his 2018 Topps Update and stamped 1/1. Who is to say that Topps releases another autograph on a 2018 Topps Update in the 2021 Archives set and number that 1/1 again? I don’t know.. but that is just my opinion.

If I were to spend anything close to that price range, I’d rather have this true 2018 Auto 1/1:

I’m not expecting $30k, I just don’t have a clue what it’s worth and don’t wanna have it up for too cheap. I’ve gotten a few sold offers approaching five figures so it seems like some like this type of card while others don’t

It’s a tough one to say because it’s a 1/1 and a buyback auto. Like you said, some collectors really like those and some collectors aren’t a big fan of them. Unfortunately, getting that “right buyer” might take a while. But all the best of luck selling it! It’s still a great card!

I'd guess in the $2-$2500 range. I remember this originally sold for around $1100 about a year ago. It's a cool card for a Soto collector, but it's not a RC and you'd really have to pray that Topps doesn't issue another RC reprint auto in the future to kill the value of this one.

Everyone is different but if you are getting close to five figures I'd strongly consider taking it and investing in a rare Topps Update RC parallel like a Black Border or Independence or buying some version of his 2016 Bowman Chrome Auto RC. Long run either of those will outperform what that card will do IMO.

You’d be foolish not to sell that card for close to five figures.

Unfortunately, this has already happened.

There's a 2019 and 2020 version of this "1/1".

Does anyone think getting it slabbed would be a good 1st step?

After watching quite a bit of at bats this year. I can confidently say if Juan Soto stays healthy he could be one of the greatest hitters of all time.

His plate discipline at his age is incredible. His stats are not only amazing but he is putting these numbers up while getting absolutely nothing to hit.

he is number 1 in intentional walks and walk percentage.

he is getting the Barry Bonds treatment already from almost every pitcher. If he can ever get good protection around him. If pitchers had to pitch to him like they do with Tatis because of Machado.

Sorry but i have not seen anything like this from such a young player.

I wish I was doing this because I have 300 us300. Unfortunately I do not own any flagship rookie cards of him. In my opinion he is still undervalued and is the best hitting player in Major league baseball.

For the sake of baseball lets pray this kid can stay healthy.

PSA 10 Updates are down 25% from their peak a few weeks ago. They'll probably go down again over the next couple of months. Plenty of time to hop in.

I was holding out but now I am going to be about 80% Juan Soto as long as I can afford it. Fortunately for me I like buying raw cards.

Posted in the MVP thread, but if this had been a normal year, Soto would have projected to have the best age 21 season of all-time. In 2020. When pitching and strategy is better than ever.

If I could only keep wax unopened lol. If its in my house it does not make it past the weekend.

On a side note of all the flagship RC's we complain about the photo. I can say with confidence the US300 photo is beautiful!!!!

I think it's an interesting card, as I subscribe to the minority view that it still retains its identity as a RC despite being stamped and re-released in a later year set.

That said, I agree with others above who value it at around $2-2.5k, because Topps has already made at least two of these, and how many more will they make going forward?

To me, it's pretty similar to having a US300 signed in person and then having that card slabbed with a PSA/DNA authentication. Maybe a half step up from that.

But pickings are slim for Chosen Juan on-card rookie autos with photos that don't suck, so this one could age better than most Archives autos, if they don't keep going back to the well with it in future releases.

when that 2020 product came out, back in march?? i was lucky enough to pull Pete Alonso 1/1 Auto on his 2019 Heritage High RC logo card, and sold it for $300

i think even though its a "2020" card, it being on his flagship rookie card helps a bunch. i would probably go $2999.99 BIN/BO and see how it goes from there
