Wow this card is PLUMMETING all of a sudden!

BGS 9 have been hot $5,000-$5500 over the last month at their peak....

Suddenly BGS 9's are barely clearing $2,000 in auctions...
Whats strange is a BIN of $3750 happened. And occasionally a few for $3,000+ will happen.

But a lot of auctions are barely clearing $2,000 lately.

Add this to the number of cards manipulated by the #Buyers Group.
I don't know what to make of this hobby anymore.

the swings are so crazy, it is as though the money being put into the hobby is just being recycled. I for one am a collector but I can see how flippers can move the needle on certain cards

PSA 10 Jeter already up to $408K with 12 days left in auction at Heritage:

Guessing this should easily surpass the recent $690k sale that PWCC advertised since it's at a public auction.

Hopefully this card making national news after this auction will cause a big move upward via the trickle down effect in the 9.5's and 9's.

Been wanting one of these for a while but never picked one up. Hadn’t checked prices since 2016 and was surprised to see how much they have gone up. Just picked up a BGS 8.5 (9/9/8/8.5) for $870 in auction. Just wanted a copy of this iconic card for the PC.

Go check jordan rcs and other "great" cards that have tanked recently.

Nothing new.

So induction/ceremony is finally happening next Wed. Bernie Williams will play the National Anthem! Pretty cool. I expect to see a bump in prices the next week especially once we get close and start to get tv exposure.

Last PSA 8 sale on eBay was very low.. $679. Most others still north of $800. Seems to be no bump…

I can’t believe how cheap his foil prices are right now wow. I remember his PSA 9 sniffing 30k months ago and the psa 8 nearing $2500.

The time to sale is when you think something is gonna happen not when it happens.We all knew Jeter was going in the HOF many years ago.How many people said im gonna sale when he gets inducted to the hall of fame.Now the market is flooded and sales are low.

Also what’s the deal with the huge discrepancy in PSA to BGS?
Is it all about the Sub grades?

BGS is very generous and PSA is very harsh on this issue in particular. PSA also hits these for minimum size required frequently.

Looks like a BGS 8.5 is $535 while a 9 is $1750. A PSA 8 is $645 and a 7 is $292. A PSA 7 with good eye appeal is probably the best bang for your buck.
