Want to hear something really really moronic I did today??? I actually spent money with BO...I bought a 20-box case of 2019 Donruss WNBA for 1275. My favorite set design of all time is 2018-19 Optic BK as many of you know so it’s time to build the Holo WNBA set as well as PSA-ing some cards.

The two cases when I made my comment yesterday were bought today at $1275, and now they reloaded one case at $1450. $72.50/box is still way too cheap for that product. Stuff is loaded with Gold and 1/1s.

They most likely have stacks of cases sitting there. Their inventory never shows what’s actually in the warehouse...most of the time. It’s one of the biggest misconceptions by members here.

Holy cow never knew her stuff went that high. She had to watch me play basketball once...i think she was out there anyhow. We had our daily pick up staff games at DePaul. And the games ran a bit late. ND had a 1pm shoot around and had to stand on the first court and watch us finish our counts for nothing daily staff game. Im sure McGraw wasn't pleased lol.

Yah these days I rarely group break unless it’s a new release from a sealed case. It’s insane what’s being spent and what’s coming out. And new collectors get pissed...what everyone doesn’t understand is there’s a trickle affect. We always need blood...look at the covid era. Prices went up across the boards because of new blood.

Anyway didn’t mean to hijack the Prizm WNBA thread with stupid dumpster fire sale Donruss WNBA. Wanted to post what I did. Still think money will be made when it’s all said and done. Plus opening $60 boxes is fine to me. You have no idea how much has been thrown away joining group breaks since 2012. More importantly the assets lost to continue gambling uh mean collecting. It was exhausting. Much much happier now.

Absolutely correct. When they move to the 1 case restocks, that's when the interval price increases start to go up the most. I would be surprised if these weren't $3k a case by the end of the week.

Was wondering is the Donruss set would get a bump...

Having opened a ton of the Donruss WNBA set the $40 a box I paid was low, the $60-70 it’s sat at through WNBA playoffs and now is probably a shy bit high. I missed the low point of the $30 a box days unfortunately.

I made my money back quite easily with some cards still to move and with many I kept at the price I paid.

Wonder if their will be a singles bump as well now. I wouldn’t bet on it buts it’s possible.

In summary I’d say ‘resale’ value of what you get in the box evens out if you can get the boxes for $60 on average. Plus the Optic Holo and the Golds are quite beautiful.
