Hi, long time lurker first time poster here. Thought I'd share progress on my 2019 Soto Rookie Cup image rainbow - 49/58 cards (that I know about) collected across multiple releases, not including the image variations. Missing most of the biggies, but not sure I'm willing to spend what it'll cost to complete even if I could track them down lol. Happy with how it displays as-is. Enjoy!

I have a feeling he might get overlooked in this offseason since the Nats played so poorly.

Also, winning league titles in only 150ish at bats just seems laughable to me.

But damn is he good at the plate.

This is two things:

1) Absolutely amazing!

2) A wonderful tool for perspective on just how many variations there are on the basic Topps card. (I would argue that it’s a little over the top.)

Actually, there’s a third thing: If you can figure out yo display it, this would be awesome wall art.

Indy 10s sold for 11500 so I'd guess a range of 8k to the same number, but maybe the same or higher if it was a psa 10.

Quads are a solid cross candidate ... but why bother on a card of that magnitude

That’s an amazing run of cards. This is going to display very nicely! Do you have plans on how you’re going to display it?

Also, I noticed your list didn’t include printing plates. Have you thought about adding those to the list? Either way, congrats on this accomplishment! It really is awesome!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yeah, the number of versions of a given image are crazy... I didn't realize the extent until this little project.

I had thought of printing plates, and I should probably list them for completeness, but I'm not even sure how many are out there in total for this image. I suppose 4 each for flagship, chrome, OD? I keep my eye out for them but haven't decided if I would pull the trigger if one pops up. If I were spending more on this I would probably target the #155 red or some sapphire color instead.

For display, still debating. Had intended to use a 25-card display frame from Hobby Lobby but now leaning toward something custom. Definitely will be a wall mount though.

For some reason he always lagged behind Vlad when he was first called up and Vlad was in the minors. He then lagged behind Acuna during 2019 despite killing the ball and winning a WS. I'm OK with him taking the slow and steady route and in the long run being the horse that wins the race.

Do you mean Topps Update? Us300 Father’s Day blue?

If so, I’d say in the neighborhood of $2000-2500. A couple raws sold in August for $1000-1200, and bgs 9.5 is about double raw. Some more evidence would be the two Acuna Father’s Day bgs 9.5 that sold in March and April for $1942 and $2305. Acunas in March and April were selling for about the price Soto sells for now.
