Larry Bird was also 23 years old when he got to the NBA. Luka is currently 20. You're right he's not the second coming of Bird - he's better.

Like I said, I like him, i've sold a few doncic's and plan on buying more as his career progresses.

I would say he's a less athletic lebron james. And i'm on record as saying Lebron isn't better than Larry. Larry was a killa, had grit and was clutch as hell.

Larry was my favorite player growing up. Came into the league at 23 years old. Luka has plenty of time to develop into a player of the same caliber as Bird.

Here's the upshot...

Everything Luka is doing, and he's not ever that great of a shooter.

IMO he gets by on basketball instinct and technique more than anything.

If or when he finally becomes a knockdown shooter it's going to be ridiculous.

Man, if I’d love to see him make a couple more free throws and three pointers a game. It’d be nice to see those stats go up a little and some more PPG.

Like others have said though, if he can knock down more mid-range and three pointers then he’ll be flat out scary.

Luka's team is full of scrubs while those Celtics teams were a stacked Championship caliber team every year. I think the comparison is lazy because they're both white, but to count him out at 20 is insane.

The Mavs need to trade Porzingis in a 1:2-3 quality player type trade. They have their superstar, you need to build around him. They really have no other trade options atm.
