You mean Soto in 2021 right? Nats didn't make the playoffs...or you mean Acuna (but this is a Soto thread).

We really need to stop comparing everyone to Trout. Players can be once-in-a-generation players and still not be as good as Trout. Trout's going to finish top-5 all-time if he stays healthy. Doesn't mean Soto can't still end up being one of the best hitters ever. But his WAR is going to be hampered by defense and base running.

They didn’t mess it up. The 1st Bowman logo isn’t supposed to be on both the auto and non-auto unless those cards are in the same set. Hence, Acuna gets it and Soto doesn’t.

Apologies sir...it's just fun with numbers. Mr. Trout seems to be the bar in terms of HOF trajectory for current players...and his hobby value seems to be what everyone is shooting for in terms of finding the next "one"...it's all in fun for me when looking at stats...stats beg for comparison.

I’m not too computer savvy but it would be interesting to know what Pujols’s War was through his first 2.6 seasons .. I think it’s a pretty good comp right?

I just can't wait to see what he is going to do next season. He would have had an epic season this year, but at least it was better than nothing. MVP next season!! I had him at 7:1 this year but those 7 games cost me I think. Oh well

My apologies, I didn't mean it to come off as harsh as it did. I just meant, every new phenom isn't going to be the same and they're definitely not going to compare well to Trout. Maybe we could dig deeper to try to find a more accurate comp? I'm just going off the top of my head but maybe Rogers Hornsby for Soto, even though they don't share the same defensive position?
