I’m blocked by marfudg as well. I will never understand this logic. To each their own. But I was always happy when you or someone else would buy my cards. I have the Thome rainbow from January and I am relieved to be adding only the 2 new /99s to match the previous releases. I'm elated I can save my $ for the base NOW HOF cards today and for The National.

Congrats on getting to be there. Had to weigh out either The Nat or Cooperstown, and I opted for Cleveland. 1/1 is never too aggressive IF it means everything to your PC AND you can justify the expense. I did so for Thome and glad I got his full set.

I will give this as my $.02... I really wanted the 2016 "Party at Napoli's" 1/1 but I just didn't pull the trigger even though it meant a lot as the rally cry for the Tribe Playoff Push. I missed it and regretted it some, but I told myself the price was too high. A miracle about a year ago as it went on sale for less than 50% original price AND was even BGS graded AND stars aligned for a 25% off coupon on The Bay. I got it and was beyond ecstatic.

So someone may try to buy the 1/1 to flip it and it may surface again either as a fail and at a discount or at scalper prices, but many never have... so it's your call.

Good luck in thinking about your move on it!

Thanks! I gambled and won a few on this go around. had I gone to Cooperstown I likely would have never crossed paths other than to see the ceremony.

That means I am in the clear to get his auto on some items at The National, and some of them mean more than a new HOF NOW card would have, so win win there (as long as he shows up!!).

And buying the base NOW cards of each player today I figure he'll do The Nat in future years and will get one signed and authenticated and PSA'd (read that as BGS'd JoeJoe ).

Overall, I am happy we now have a full set of 2018 HOFers via two waves and think it's great on Topps' part to decide on a lot of restraint to not do a full auto ceremony set.

I am hoping that these are in uniform, to match the other Autos of Chipper, Trammell, Morris and Thome. A release of both would have been nice :-)

Trevor was always great at Spring Training in PHX. He would line everyone up and do 1 auto each. Great guy.... Him, Mariano, Josh Hamilton... Some of the really nice ballplayers to fans...

Completely unrelated to the autos. Reserved a couple so I can go run some errands though.
Going to bowl Thursday night at Johan Santana’s event. Lots of former players attending and a few HOF. Blyleven, Carew. I assume Molitor. Best part is that I didn’t pay for it. Well I fronted the money for it just cause I was convenient but I’m getting in free. Digging up everything I need for a haul of autos.

I agree. Really hoping these are in uniform. If so, I’m definitely getting a Vlad. However I understand the preference for them to be photos of them speaking at the podium yesterday. Especially if you were there.

On another note, I think I’m going to start saving now for the Mo Rivera induction card next year.
