Predict it, yes.

Bookmaker, not really. It's one of those things that has been known for 30 years and then one day you might wake up and Party Poker has been seized by the US government.

She pretty much did get canceled tho. She was big time at ESPN now she's doing some podcast and writes for the Atlantic

And the Atlantic is in chaos right now, so yea, she got knocked down a bit.

The dumpster fire won't be as big now.

Do you know if these mail in ballots are counted chronologically? Was Biden getting 80% of the early returns weeks ago but then as the election drew nearer getting 70%? That's the only thing I can think of for these wild swings.
I didn't see AZ as a shocker at all. As a former resident (30 years there), I would've been surprised to see it go red this time.

The major player, I suspect, was Joe Arpaio. His crazy antics were likely a model for how Trump played the game. Arpaio was a media brat that consistently said and did outrageous things for publicity and people ate it up for decades before finally ousting him. It took a while for Arizonans to ditch that clown, but once they did it was hard to imagine they'd want another guy like him.

I suspect they didn't really make that same connection back in 2016. Four years brought clarity.

ETA: the good news for the Red Team is that if I'm correct, then AZ will have a great chance of going red again next election, since it was dislike of the Arpaio/Trump similarity rather than dislike of red policy

Now if only she could take jalen rose with her, basketball on ESPN could be tolerable again.

Susan Collins is the GOP equivalent of Joe Manchin, a moderate senator winning states due to ticket splitting

Just think, we could be waking up to a second term of Hillary Clinton right now.

Folks, it's been fun, I hope everyone comes back in 2024 when we're all on the same page and voting for Nikki Haley.

Thanks for the great discussion to everyone who isn't JD and to JD, I hope a Biden presidency brings you everything you could have ever imagined AND MORE!

And to Nate Silver, who was yet again so hilariously wrong in so many states, house races and senate races (I mean he could not have been worse really), I say please adjust your model so that polling is only a small part; not the whole damn thing. Polling can give you trends, it can't give you results.

Enjoy yourselves people. You only get one of these.

I honestly think she would have had just as much trouble winning as Trump would have.

Obviously disappointed with what appears to be a Biden victory, but not surprised.
I'm very happy the the other votes though so it's not all negative.
I don't see any challenges sticking and honestly hope there won't be any.
The rhetoric concerning rioting resulting from the totals is ridiculous. We (Republicans) will accept the outcome without much fanfare.
My biggest fear is Joe not lasting and Kamala being inserted. That would be disastrous.
Trump won't run again. Period.
2024 should be very interesting.
Congrats to Biden and his supporters if things hold up as they look to.

Does this mean I will be able to find TP again, or no...

Yes, but she also likely would have handled Covid about a million times better and that could have won her the election in the end too.

Nope. Covid will get worse, Biden will try a mask mandate (which from what I've seen he doesn't have the power to do), people will freak, no TP and no meat.

The real question is why would you not have stocked up on it a little bit when it was widely available?

Shortages of items that were hard to find in April will become a thing again mid winter, last month or two I'd buy an extra box or two of pasta when I'd shop, grabbed an extra big pack of TP, filled a drawer with Soups, etc.

Having nothing to do with being afraid to go to the stores later, but to not think certain items will be hard to find again would be foolish, no reason to not stock up a bit on some of the things that have a very long or indefinite shelf life.

Worst case scenario is that these things don't become hard to find and I just save a lot of money on groceries and general supplies over the winter while I use what I have now, best case scenario I don't have to worry about finding the hard to find items.

Thanks for making my point. People get so offended now. Trump will lose this because he isn't a good speaker.

Not a Trump fan, but huge government intervention is what is keeping me from my job. How about we get rid of that?

You think it has to do with him not being a good speaker?

Nothing to do with him just being an awful human being who has destroyed many aspects of what made this country so great?

LOL, probably because I don't need enough TP to last 2+ years.
