There aren't many Siff Mookie cards listed (base, not AP).... and they're in the 250+ range.

Let's see how this plays out.

Also... good luck to all who's paying up for the Art Prints. The timing of them is odd to me... and I'd love them at 1/2 the price they're listed at. I can see the Ermsy Trout selling out in the first day (and maybe a few others that people love)

I think it's just another 'extra' (along with companions, artist autos, etc.) that takes away from the actually P2020 cards....imo.

Hopefully not.

Is there really a market for this? Printruns have been dropping, i'll be surprised if they sell 99 of these at 400 ea.

Still cheaper on my site.

I have the set of 3 listed for under $200.

I'm going to buy whatever releases this week and then see how things play out.

Hopefully I get to see the quality, (which I'm sure will better than other prints Topps has done to this point), before I have to decide to buy more.

Curious to see how the framing is. If they are decent frames the price isn't that bad, framing (quality) is expensive. But I would rather frame it myself and pay less for the print.

We will let Matt be the guinea pig for these. He can report back on the quality. Jacob Rochester posted a picture of his framed Mays leaning against a wall, and it honestly looked pretty nice

Wow, I never thought I'd like a Siff card again. But I like this one. Kudos.

My issues are as follows:
- size/boarder: the 12x14 is small to begin with but the way its shown in the pictures makes me think the actually card will be even smaller considering the massive boarder on the print.
- the price: maybe $1k for the artist collection signed by the artist on print is worth it but there is no way these individual prints are worth $400-$1000.
- the frame: the colored frame to distinguish value is about the dumbest thing ive ever heard. i dont see any of these frames being quality and the glass on the prints is prob cheap and both will need to be reframed anyway.
- no real "ap": what makes something an AP? unless they are also selling original paintings it sounds like a money grab.
- the rollout: why release 20 a week? even the deepest pockets will not by more than 1-3 per week
- the lack of transparent PR: assuming they do not sell out, how will anyone know how many were actually sold? are they going to burn the rest?
- timing: who at Topps actually thinks the timing of this makes sense? artist and the secondary market have bleed this set almost bone dry and Topps assumes they can muster another $400-$1000 out of people when AP cards arent even in demand anymore? sure they sell but begrudgingly

bottom line- i guess this may bring attention but its not the attention the set needs and it ticks me off. my gripe is in no way a knock on the artist or the set (which i love).

The quality of the print is my main concern. I'm looking forward to hearing how they are when you get them, and hopefully Siff Brett hasn't dropped by then, as that would be one I would strongly consider buying.

Agree with this, but then I also worry about Topps ability to ship a print in a tube securely.

quality of the prints are really good, deckled edges, linen paper...its not just basic cardstock. frames are pretty standard. think prices are still a bit high but can say the paper quality is solid, on par with some of the nicer artists prints I've bought in the past if that's the main concern on these. Good luck to whoever going for these. It'll be interesting to watch when it drops!

Probably because he put in a OMA sized block of text up top

There is A LOT going on in that card. Siff is just designing for the prints now apparently.

Isn't that his First Bowman Chrome card? We really calling that a "minor league insert"?

Big GULP on these prints of the p2020 cards! I guess this must be a holiday gift push??

If I was wealthy I would buy a Don C Frank Thomas print as a goof, but, I am not in such a bracket.

I said the same thing last night...if you buy the Don C Frank Thomas you have a very good shot at getting the gold, because it may be the only one sold.

Siff is the most Love it / Hate it artist for me in this whole project. I do not like this Trout at all, it would improve a lot without the gradient core full of microscopic doodles.
