I'm a firm believer in Risk and Reward.
My self and Ninja have been on this thread since the first page when BTC finally took over ounce of gold, all of us had the same opportunity and some of us were just wild enough to take that gamble.
It's been a fund ride so far and I truly believe it will only get better in next three years.

Long term I'm with you. Just the ebbs and flows of most any market. I certainly don't think this current drop will take us anywhere near the 3k lows we saw previously. Just more healthy consolidation.

When you start seeing never ending gains, that's the real time to worry.

To reiterate, I am a day trader. I analyze micro trends, not the macro landscape (very rare circumstances).

So while I'm temporarily bearish, that does not mean I don't think bitcoin won't be worth significantly more in a year or two. But that really doesn't concern me and my goals.

Hell yeah...nice one, brody.

Looking primed to go back and re-test that 5900 satoshi local high...I'd be surprised if it doesn't within the next few weeks.

I'll be right back aboard the btc bullboi train if she can break back above $9,500. Going to be an interesting coming week.

I'd wait, imo. Or just buy a little at a time.

I'm targeting 7400 medium term...but could dip into the 6k range. 12hr rsi still looks like this is not done. There may be little bounces along the way but it's better to wait for strong confirmation.

Almost a perfect long term trendline touch. I still feel like 7400 is a strong possibility....and if that doesn't hold...it could get very ugly at least for the medium term.

People have to remember that we had a strong bullrun for almost the past 3 months...this pullback was needed as people took profits.

In any case, put in a small long entry at 7670 last night....hoping for a small bounce to around 8-8.2k...hopefully.

My second long target was 30 bucks off. Poop.

I'm guessing this is the next leg down. Hoping for a stop around 7.4-7.6...any lower may be worrisome for btc short term.

Crypto is not a hedge. I repeat; crypto is not a hedge.

In fact, it mimics the stock market closer than it ever did precious metals. Hoping this isn't deeper than I originally though. But should provide for some decent buying opportunities if so.

Was woken up to a nice alert on my cellphone this morning.

My god.

I expected a massive pullback, but not THAT quick. Cannot remember the last time a market dump like this occurred in such a short time span.

Crypto follows where the stock market; and most importantly, Corona goes. I have a feeling it's going to be a slow climb back up, assuming Corona is still in its infantile stages and more global shutdowns get flashed in the media.

Tread carefully, gents.

Crypto hedge funds have lot of convincing to do attract new investors and current investors from not pulling the cord.

A corona vaccine would be the ultimate crypto savior right now. Else I anticipate there may be a fairly good possibility of lows people would have never envisioned a few months ago. This is volatility not seen in years (probably because the first financial recession occurred while btc was a baby). Very crazy swings.

From 2009 to 2011 we saw silver rise nearly x5. The big explosion didn't begin though until the back half of 2010. Seeing silver tank this morning, gotta be time to buy, right?

If you can find someone to sell to you at this price go for it!! Last I checked(just for a reference) the premium on apmex for American silver eagles was $5.60 an ounce so the price to you has not changed. I wish I could find silver at these prices. I bought a roll of silver eagles on Saturday for $325 and I am still smiling about it. I haven’t seen a price that low on them in years.

You nailed it. Apmex up to $451 for a tube and that's bank wire. $480 for paypal. Best Ebay price is $423.70. More than $8 premium over spot.

I'd have figured some of the tubes up for auction would go low but the result has been the opposite. Prices keep rising.

That spot price is fiction.

Correction. That $423.70 (now $424.94), is a pre-sale. Doesn't ship for a month.

GL all!

The death knell of oil seems to be right and we could be testing 30$ppb oil in the near future and below.

As you can tell all three commodities are still in a downtrend. Please understand within the context of the market any of these commodities can go up or down price was but it normally follows the trend. You must chart the trends to figure out where its going and right now nothing is screaming this is going up.. yet. It needs to break out but I am not sure which way it will break out without more news.
I think we consolidate at 14.25-15.50 for a while but if we continue a downtrend we are talking 10-13$ range as I have said before. This is a long term position opinion.. I would love to hear everyone else's opinions!

Demolitionsox already threw this up
Link is the current SLV etf chart with those aforementioned trend-lines

Man that seems like yesterday!
The last time I have seen paper prices drop this hard there was nothing physical to buy! I wonder if this continues when or if anyone will sell at the paper prices..I doubt it.
This is going to either crash like 29 or 87...
The miners are getting CRUSHED.. JNUG from 50 to 5? wow! https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/fund/jnug
I am watching bitcoin as well... just crazy!

** I am looking for some deals on platinum and silver physical.. I was able to get some platinum a while back for 40 over spot at around 750-800.. I would love to pick up more around 750-800! Spot is 660 and not an ounce in sight under 840!
I am def looking for an entry into bitcoin as well!

What is everyone else doing/looking for?

MY GOODNESS!! Record GLD/SLV ratios!

When I saw silver spot this AM, the gold ratio was too tempting to pass up. At the current $8 mark up per oz., not so much.

Bitcoin re-up set for $4,500. This coming from an idiot that re-uped at $5,900.

I'd suspect most that bought earlier (especially in quantity) are unwilling to part with their stashes...or at least not for a severe premium over spot.

That said, it is important to note that we're most likely in the early stages of a recession. So the trend is still overwhelmingly down for all asset classes...and will continue to be down until some major long term support-turned-resistance is broken.

Shorted btc last night after it broke 5300 but didn't quite catch the bottom....exited my position at 4800 because the market is just batch1t insane with SL hunting wicks.

Not looking to buy to hold quite yet...just daytrading with caution and staying tethered in fiat when I'm not.
