I've got 7 slabbed updates (3/10's base and 4/9's blues) taking up space. As soon as there is an uptick (if) I'm unloading them and moving on. I honestly don't expect him to be much more than he has been the last 2 seasons.

It's funny. Regardless how he does each season, it seems the ensuing spring training his key rc's reach new highs.

I remember being able to snatch his base bowman chrome au's for 400-500 in 9.5 form. Last season they were around 750-800 and this preseason nearing 4 digits. I expect next year they'll be around 1250 come the end of May. Eventually something has to give because the prices are far outweighing the performance, and getting to the point where you're basically praying for an mvp year to come out in the green.

He could end up hitting sub .200 for the season and the guy will still get paid a insane amount of money.

Pressure of free agency has to be in his mind to some degree...he wants to be a Yankee....no place for him.....we would rather wait for Trout anyway.

I think they will do what it takes to keep him. Losing him would sink the franchise. With a couple of the guys in the minors coming along, like Adell, they could add a few pieces and be able to compete before he leaves I'm sure.
