Eh. There's bad calls in every game, ncaa and pro.

UFC still had 2 great opportunities to win in the final seconds...one of them probably the best any team could ask for. Couldn't get it done.

That's life.

Major props to UCF though. That was incredible to watch.

That isn't just a bad call though. That's a game deciding call after he literally bulldozed a defender. There is a huge difference.

Let's not forget about the bricked alley oop instead of burning some clock. Or the shot clock violation which should have been but was given to UCF.

Bottom line is, UCF blew that game away when they should have taken it fairly comfortably.

But let's just blame it all on a questionable ref call with 8 seconds left...

Here’s how it plays out of they call the Zion charge.

He’s out, Tacko’s in, ball is driven towards the rim, bounces loose, Tacko grabs it and drops it in with 2 seconds left. Duke heaves one from half court. Ball game.

No, the call before was a charge ( a less obvious one), you don't get a makeup call when he absolutely runs the defender over. Plus it led to Tacko Fall getting bounced from the game. You know which then led to Barrett's putback game-winner.

You forgot about the Barrett putback on the missed Zion free throw. That play doesn't happen.

Great ending, so close to going in. IMO, good no call on Zion. UCF guard flopped for sure. Probably could call a push in the back on the free throw miss. Refs don’t usually make those calls in the closing minutes. UCF needed to pull that down. The 5 point swing of missed dunk and thee point hurt. UCF also got the no overturn on the ball missing the rim. They had opportunities.

Exactly why it should've been called. You have to stay consistent. You can't just ignore it because there is 14 seconds on the clock and its Duke & Zion. It was a brutally obvious offensive foul.

Absolutely agree. Happens in every sport on the big stage.

Was hoping UCF would win but it wasn't going to happen. They did have to make it close though.

That said, this tournament is a yawn. It's all 1-4 seeds going to the Sweet 16 basically. There's no big upsets IMO (a 10 beating a 7 isn't an upset and the 12s that won were supposed to win). So glad MLB openers are Thursday. At least there'll be something worth watching on TV.

Bad calls never happen. UCF would have won by 10 if not for those bricked calls.

I hope Tacko goes to the league. I just want to see him camp the key all day and hold his hands up like broomsticks.

You're delusional if you think that was an offensive foul. You have an argument that Tacko didn't foul Zion on the drive. That could have gone either way.

Can't believe UCF shots didn't drop at the end. Great game.

I just watched the replay again. That's not even close to an obvious charge. Would have been a crap call to call that in the last 10 seconds. Zion couldn't even move, the defended moved right in front of him and fell. Great no call!

The shot clock "violation" wasn't clear enough so you cannot overturn that. And yeah, they missed an alley oop. Neither of those have any impact on whether the foul on Zion should've been called or not. If was a brutally obvious offensive foul and the ref swallowed their whistle and then had the audacity to give him an and-one. If you aren't going to call that charge on Zion in that spot, you can't call that foul on Fall. Them blowing the foul on Zion in turn fouled Fall out and gave Duke the chance at an offensive board (which Barrett pushed off on to grab).
