I could see some silently racist writers who critique Asian athletes not voting for him first ballot

Anyone who thinks this will not happen should pay attention to how Ohtani is talked about by the Stephen A Smith types in the media. Stephen A doesn't vote, but I am sure people who think like Stephen A do.

More likely is someone believes a down-ballot candidate deserves support to stay on the ballot another year and will vote for players who have little chance of making the Hall of Fame.

Most ballots should be small.

I have been wanting one of these for a while now. The overall look just pops for me. I finally came across one and it happened to be in a “fine nine” PSA slab

2005 Topps Finest /150 (Blue Xfractor | PSA 9)



I also picked up this card because it’s a photo of Ichiro pitching in an all-star game in Japan. It’s actually a jumbo card.

I'm also planning on going to the HOF induction ceremony next year to see Ichiro. Like the little child I am, I actually wrote him a letter a few years back saying that I'd be there to see him. A BO meetup would be sweet!

Mill Creek Sports hosted a private signing with Ichiro yesterday. I had my '93 BBM RC signed. Excited to get it back!

Funny you brought that up. I just picked this up yesterday at Mill Creek Sports. I had Ichiro sign my 2002 Danbury Mint Statue with “ROY / MVP”. I had them put the Ichiro authentic hologram underneath the base. The statue is Ichiro in his 2001 rookie jersey. I requested for a silver pen and it came out exactly how I wanted it!
