here's the thing - now I love me some Ja - but he's a huge defensive liability right now. I don't think this beatdown happens with him on the floor.

I was about to say the same. Not having Ja makes their defense a whole lot better. But let’s also take it with a grain of salt that they beat the kings without 3 key players, raptors without 3 key players, and then the thunder without 3 key players.

I bet I could’ve found 4 more men’s league all stars from the forums here and given OKC a run for their money tonight.

The Kings suck anyway, I think the Raptors were only missing Anunoby (that mattered), and we were missing Kyle Anderson as well tonight (and Z. Williams).

I'm not saying that any of this means ANYTHING other than we won games we were supposed to win. But past Grizzlies teams lost these games on the regular, and that's how teams take steps forward - by winning games you're supposed to win.

As for Ja being a defensive liability - there's no question. But, that's something you can cover for if the rest of the team gels like they need to.

Anybody selling his 2018 prizm rookies for <$5 is making a huge mistake. There is way more upside in holding at this point imo

Funny, I never liked the photo used on Prizm and never bought any. I pulled some and will hold, but my decision to go chronicles blue was smart. I own all 3 PSA 10 chromium blues’s /99.

Tell that to Cpoon on COMC haha. I think he has over 20 listed for less than $4.

On a side note, I hate when he floods the market with that many cards. If he listed one or two at a time, not only would he do better, other sellers would too. Creates a perception of lower supply on COMC.

This whole Grizz team has stepped it up, but JJJ looks like the best player on the court an awful lot lately. If he can put it together inside and out, and play more than 30 minutes, he might pop off a 30 point game before Ja returns.

For sure on both. I simply am glad he is starting to live up to his immense potential. Those who bought in very low will be rewarded, myself included, for sending his rarer stuff to PSA. AT THE CURRENT grading price, he still does not have an ROI to send massive amounts of cards to PSA. It will,be players like him that will be profitable and have a relative low population report.

Job well done for all who bought in.

He looks pretty good, although a bit spazzy on the court.

The oddest thing is his jumpshot looks terrible. That form is straight out of the WNBA - yikes.

But hey, if it goes more often than some of the guys with nice looking jumpers - so be it!

There are lots of less then perfect form shooters in the NBA, but can absolute ball (Cameron Payne). There are some perfect form NBA player that can’t put the ball in the basket on a consistent basis, too many to count. He dies look spazzy at times and can disappear in games, but I am loving his progress. Ja/Bane/Brooks/Adams/JJJ will be a hand full for the foreseeable future.

Jaren just needs to realize how dominant he can be in the paint. Every game he plays inside out he shoots above 50% from the floor and puts up 20+.

There is literally nobody in the NBA that can match his combination of size, length, athleticism, and lateral quickness besides probably AD and Giannis. And he made AD look like a child on one specific post up last night where he went right through AD and finished at the rim.

If Jaren could make that 5 foot jump hook and that driving jump stop layup he’s done 4-5 times the last two games his staple moves he could literally have a free 15 points a night.
