Not chrome, but in four boxes of 2023 Heritage (3 from Topps), I pulled one base Ohtani. Four boxes and one base card. Seems like a similar trend with 2023 Chrome?

Kind of a tough comparison, you're comparing a 220 card base set + inserts to a 400 card base set + 100 card SP set + inserts. I usually go through a case of heritage every year and the last few years there's always a couple cards in each set that you'll only get about 3 of in 12 boxes. And that's when you get the whole case. Buying from multiple sources only increases your chances of getting the same cards.

I will say, this is the best looking Topps Chrome set since 2011 IMO. Amazing what simple borders without trying to overdo it accomplishes. Love that the base rookie autos are just a plain white border too, I wish that's how the base set looked as well

I agree, I think Topps is overcompensating for the royal mishap last year.

Zero chance they get it right again next year lol

Is anyone hoarding Ohtani/Acuna cards for the buyback or are you selling them off (just in case or don't care) they don't win it?

I hit $60 worth between both and really debating. I have them up on eBay and an offer in hand and know you won't get dollar for dollar. Probably will end up selling them and take the cash.

I am "hoarding" Shohei base. I've picked up $180 worth of buyback so far for $129.

Anyone know what this is? Sorry if this has come up already... It's # to /75 and on the odds I only see Blue Wave /75 but unless I've lost the ability to see blue, I don't know what this is?

People were talking about this a couple of pages ago too, it definitely appears to be a non-blue blue wave.

Several on eBay all look the same as yours from what I can see.

It's the Blue Wave..reminds me of 2016 Panini Prizm Football and the Blue Wave Prizms in that..really looked more silver

So I went through 3 boxes of singles from what I ripped yesterday and I came up with only 11 cards that would even have a chance at a 10.. and even those have maybe a small issue. The borders are chipped as hell when you look under a magnifier. Quite a bit if 60/40 centering as well. Could be a tough year to get 10’s. They actually look great..until you really look close. I use a 30x magnifier to see and you’re gonna be surprised how much of the silver borders have issues.
