My lineup this week on FD

RG3 is about to come back and this is one of Cousins last chances to show he should start somewhere of given a chance...expecting a huge game by him vs Titans: QB is Cousins

Until he cools off I'm going with the hot hand at my RB1: Oliver

2nd RB should have a beast game as he shown last week: Tate

My first 2 WRs are guys "filling" in for the stars while they are out
WR1 Sanu
WR2 Golden Tate

My 3rd WR (actually main WR lol) is someone that's paired up with a "throwing QB" : WR3 Hilton

My TE should continue to get good looks since the WRs will be heavily covered: Witten

My Kicker: Adam V...colts should score or be close a lot so should get a decent amount of kicks in

My Def: Seattle.....easy choice for the price cause I think they will be out for blood

Is stacking a QB with a receiver a common practice?

Depending on the team and who they are playing

If you stacked Luck with Hilton last week you made a killing

You also have to decide if you want to go that route by making that your main focus.

My focus is this:
1. Value of the players (cheaper people that have a major chance to shine this week)
2. WRs first, RBs Second, QB third, etc etc....WRs rack up the points with most leagues being .5 points per reception and 6 per TD....QBs can wait with the 4 points per TD

So if you can get great value I say yeah stack them up

I've even done QB and 2 WR sometimes if I think the matchup is there

I did Rodgers with Nelson and Cobb a couple weeks ago and they both did well

I think it's pretty common, especially in GPP's (Guaranteed Prize Pools). The reasoning is fairly simple: if your WR has a huge day, so will your QB. Week 6 the big GPP winners had a stack of Flacco-Smith-Smith. Week 5 was a Manning-Thomas-Thomas stack, and so on.
All of my GPP's have a QB-WR stack. I won't be shocked to see another similar stack creating big winners. I won't be surprised if it's Carr-Holmes-Jones or Cousins-Jackson-Garçon.

FD 1 PM Only League

Hoyer
Lynch
Forsett
Nelson
Sanu
Hunter
Cameron
Vinatieri
Bills D

Am I crazy for starting Hoyer and going heavy on the RBs and WRs?

Yes you are. Carr is much better value than Hoyer; Whitehurst or Bortles is arguably better value. Dwayne Allen is better value than Cameron.

Talked myself into playing Cousins after it seemed like a sure lock here on Blowout. What a fail on my part.

I played 12 lineups between FD and DK. Some of my busts

CJ Spiller - One league broken collar bone
Kelvin Benjamin - two leagues Panthers just awful - Seems he waited to get going for me
Kirk Cousins - two leagues benched
Alfred Morris - Two leagues pivot didn't work
Jordan Cameron - Two leagues, 0 points wtf happened?

holy crap such a brutal day...

Flacco was decent for his price, even better w/o the 2 INT

Nelson scored..but didnt do much after..and 16 points at such a high price tag was big letdown...

Forsett..95 rushing yards..but 0 TD and no involvement in the passing game..whaa??

Cameron..week after exploding back into the game...1 catch 5 yards...2x whaaa??

just a wierd day all around and unless you hit the jackpot on value plays, looks like it was ALL LUCK this week

Aside from Wilson and Forte..nobody had any real explosive stats for fantasy among the big expensive names

Rodgers had nice stats, but not enough for his price..same for Brees..

Today sucked. Still in the money but will probably drop out unless Oliver can score a few times and McManus kicks the hell out of the ball. Hoyer sucked

rolling this out for Sun Night/Mon night

Kaep
Foster
Bell
Boldin
Sanders
Wheaton
Davis
McManus
Steelers

itll be interesting to see other LU and how they are constructed..

Peyton is more than $10k..Thomas and Thomas $9k

with no real cheap options, do you go with weak RBs but Stud WRs/TE...

or like me with the only 2 stud RBs and 2 middle priced WR 1 cheap
