Look at this scouting report for dominic smith. Could it get any worse? Wow

Dominic Smith, 1B, Mets
Batting practice is Smith’s time to shine, as it allows him to show off his plus raw power that has been otherwise stymied during game action since turning pro. The difference is in the approach. In practice, Smith looks to drive the ball. In games, he does not. A passive approach leads to passive swings instead of attacking the baseball. The good news is that the bat speed is still present. The bad news is that he shows little interest in making adjustments, or much else that’s taking place on the field around him. His body is already worse than it was this time last year, a major concern for a 19-year-old already limited to first base, but his body language may be even worse. Smith had his struggles last year in Savannah, admittedly an incredibly tough place for power hitters, but the Florida State League won’t be much easier this season, so he’ll need to start producing regardless of hitting environment.

LOL, is that really his scouting report? If so, yeah, I'd agree that's pretty bad.

Metsplaya will survive. He can take the heat. Everyone said the same thing about me at the beginning of the season last year, that I wouldn't be able to handle the motions of the season. I'm still here ticking.

I'm surprised how calm you have been here this spring so far. I know you said you expect the braves to stink and that's why you don't get upset, but I know I can't keep my cool whether the mets are supposed to stink or not

Well, it's only Spring Training. Once the regular season begins I'll be much more vocal.

Any chance Puello makes the team? I think he's out of options

Doesn't seem so, while the power seems to have zapped, still a great arm, good fielding, and can run for a bigger guy. That's why I bought some of his cards last year.

Anyone want to buy them?

They should give him a chance , den deckker is nothing special and he could take Eric Youngs spot.

Krik/Campbell/Mayberry/Puello

Thank you for Eric Young Jr. He will fare nicely in centerfield while Melvin is on the DL. He may not be a superstar type player but I'm fairy certain he'll do better than Melvin Upton.

Idk what Sandy was thinking. Turner & Young > Kirk & Den deckker

Met have lined up colons next to starts so he is avaliable on opening day, I knew terry would start him first game

It's amazing. You have degrom and harvey who are both better but terry wants the older pitcher who won't be on the team last year. Plus he stunk vs nats last year. Terry is so clueless and so predictable it's amazing

First game of the year vs the best team and you are throwing it

Cuddyer with his 4th homer of spring

I really hope this guy can stay on the field, would be very happy if he starts 130 games.

Sucks for wheeler, he cried. I feel bad for him. He was one of the guys who promised playoffs and called out Harper. Literally a week later he goes down

In the event Murphy starts the season on the disabled list, the Mets will use Matt Reynolds or Danny Muno – not use Dilson Herrera or Wilmer Flores – at second base, Sandy Alderson told reporters Friday.
